>>erica: earlier temperatures are sitting in the 30's and 40's hold on to low 50s for places like oakland. take a look at these north bay temperatures. it is even cooler than our last report for places like santa rosa and through navato this morning. it is 39 degrees currently for downtown san francisco, 42 for people in

fairfield. as we head into the next couple of hours we have the potential to break some record. as he checked out with a future cast for will go by 8:00 a.m. it looks like we hold on to the 30's for places like santa rosa and petaluma. we have widespread 30 around the bay area. as we advance closer to lunchtime you will see mostly blue on your screen indicating everyone in the '50s squeezing out low sixties for places like napa and fairfield. by 3:00 p.m. looks like we're holding on to a lot of upper fifties around the bay area and some low sixties for the inland areas. i will show you exactly neighborhood by neighborhood where the temperatures will go. 61 expected for redwood city, 64 for those in now and you. 57 degrees is the afternoon high for those in fremont. as the patchy fog clears out we see a lot low sixties in this area. the seven men around the bay forecast shows that we will

hold on to those colder temperatures for the next few days. we will really hold into the low 60s and upper 50s for inland, bay and coastal locations. wednesday looks to be the warmest day of the week. the drf the week. as for traffic we have no hot spots to tell you about, we will show you the bridges, the broached-- approach to the bay bridge toll plaza looks good. once you get to the toll plaza flats, you will see no way that the pace. traffic is moving really will up the incline and across the upper deck. i notice the camera checking around at the san mateo bridge but the chp has not issued any special traffic advisories. once you make your way past the toll plaza, you'll see a lot of space in between cars. your drive is between 13 and 14

minutes. over at the golden gate bridge, this is an empty bridge as you make your way toward san francisco this morning. visibility does look good the north of the golden gate bridge we have compromised its visibility if you're coming out of santa rosa to petaluma. be aware of that this morning. the bayshore freeway looks good, north bound 101 and palo alto right near embarcadero, the ramp is currently shut down and that is in effect until 6:00 a.m.. we have no problem for interstate 280. the dumbarton bridge look great in both directions with no overnight concerns to speak of. >>james: this morning police are still searching for a man suspected of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a teenage girl in san jose. >> san jose police say this

all started saturday night before 6:00 p.m. when a responder for a call for a missing person near madison avenue and shot street. they saw a teenage girl said her 14 year-old friends had been kidnapped near a pedestrian bridge after a suspect approached the two girls and bought a cellphone from one of them while the other girl walked away. the police call the cellphone and found a missing girl on the pedestrian bridge nearby. they saw the suspect just behind her who fled the scene. police said the suspect to the young girl to a secluded area along the 680 freeway where he then sexually assaulted her. police said they saw the suspect climbed over a fence into the gramercy place neighborhood in the search around this area for several hours looking for him. make a public safety warning over the neighborhood urging neighbors in this area to take caution especially when walking alone because the suspect is still on the loose. police are describing him as a hispanic adult male in his early 30's. he is

short with a heavier build and has like facial hair and was last seen wearing dark colored clothing. reporting in the studio i'm a coach in nfl with kron4 news. >>james: a bay area teenager will be waking up at home after being reported missing this past week. shelby harris was last seen with gavin mcfate the police say they found the two and a motel 6 and was with the girl is not--not injured and gavin is currently behind bars. >>justine: now the earthquake was followed by dozens of tremors that tore up homes and a highway in oklahoma. crews are now accessing the damage in shelby lynne has the story. >> it is coming down here as another earthquake just hit. i still hear a few lights rattling in our studio. if you can see back

>>erica: here are your temperature is right outside the door, like i mentioned in the cool start to the morning in the mid-30s for places like santa rosa and a bottle. as we check out where the record lows are, take a look at santa rosa. it is expected get down to 35 degrees, it is kelly 36 degrees so we are not too far off. that beats the old record of 37 set back in 2009. napa could get pretty close. the old record was 33 degrees set back in 2001. we could tie the record in places like concord and get pretty close through hayward and downtown san francisco. i do want to walk you through your temperatures for the rest of the day. by 9 the and you can see a lot

of blood on your screen that does mean that we exist in the low fifties around the bay area as we advance the car closer to 1:00 p.m., you can see there is a lot of blue on your screen but then the green creatures in for our inland valleys. by the evening it looks like to cool things back down into the low fifties for the most part. your seven day around the bay forecast shows that temperatures will be on the mouse fight for the next few days. you will be licking u--you will be waking up to morning fog. as you take a look at the approach to the bay bridge toll plaza there are more cars than in our last report the still no metering lights to deal with. traffic is moving well up the incline and across the upper deck. take a look at this, like the space in

between cars on the right- hand side of your screen there are no problems. the golden gate bridge south bound 101 is a clear shot as you make your way toward san francisco this morning. traffic is definitely moving at the limit. i want to show you are traffic maps to show you what is going on in the south bay. north bound 101 looks good coming out of the title you valley. interstate 280 is a nice ride. we do see patches of slowing for west bound and east bound to 37. that is where the speed have dropped to about 45 mi. per hour. if you are taking public transit everything is checking in on time no problems yet for ac transit. >>james: new details now about a month said--mudslide yesterday the crews have cleared all the mud and

debris it happened about 3:30 p.m.. it was triggered when a pg&e natural gas line burst. crew were in the middle of testing that line for weak points when it ruptured. landslide covered up several lanes of 280. pg&e say the pipe was cleared of gas before was tested so there was no danger of any explosion. it is about 20 mi. south of the section of pipeline in san bruno that experienced the did it--deadly explosion back in 2010. >>justine: a shooting happened near north point and taylor streets one man 45 to 55 years old shot but rushed to the hospital and expected to survive. no arrests have been made in this case. >>james: the occupy protesters oakland is starting to get a little messy. city leaders are worried that this is becoming a health issue. >>reporter: the ground is

passionate chance, yesterday those chants were directed at wells fargo. the protesters burst into the santa rosa bank and refuse to leave. three people were ultimately arrested. >>justine: thousand people gathered outside the white house poulticing an oil pipeline that will stretch from canada to texas. critics of the project say the huge pipeline will have catastrophic environmental consequences. just last week the white house said the final decision on the pipeline will be up to the state department following an environmental impact analysis and a public commentingg period now president obama has said he may step in people hoping that public pressure will make the president opposed the pipeline. over the weekend protest focused on the big banks, protesters asked americans nationwide to pull their money out of the banks and put them in smaller credit unions

round of a forecasts shows that we will be contending with wow weather. there is morning fog coupled with afternoon sunshine. wednesday looks to be the warmest day of the week. we could get up to about 67 degrees for some of the inland areas. as we head towards thursday that is when things turn the corner and we reintroduce the chance for wet weather stretching into the weekend. as for traffic there are no hot spots on the freeway. the approach to the bay bridge toll plaza has a pretty decent ride. traffic is building in the westbound direction but no metering lights to deal with. this morning, the san mateo bridge looks good. traffic is building on the right- hand side of your screen but no accidents or significant delays to tell you about. there are no problems getting to the bridge on highway 101 or either direction of the minutes freeway.--memtesets freeway.

from san francisco. put it was cold there, but you feel a really big drop when you come into concord. it is very crispy and cold. all i can suggest aside from bundling up is to moisture rise. put moisturizer on your face because you can really feel the cold air hitting your face. you definitely want to put a lot of cream on to prevent from any burning because it is so cold out in the area. >> darya: the thing that can make things colder is the wind, let us check in with james. >>james: the good news is that the wind is not too big of a factor this morning. it's coming in from the north and this will help us warm up slightly. but especially in the north bay and east bay valleys, they are protected from the winds that the to the temperatures dropped considerably. we have cold temperatures this morning, valley fog will be with us your looking for a funny but very cool afternoon with the temperatures ranging at the coast and the bay between the 50's and '60's. inland,

we will be in the low and may be a mid 60 year in their but mostly low 60s today. let us take a look at the temperatures and see where they are right now. like it was last week, we see our cold is whether to the north. we have santa rosa at 36 degrees, also 36 at navato and 39 in napa. now we have tied the record in concord at 41 degrees. we will see if the temperatures drop even more. they should. it is a good bet that concord will break the record. >>james: now let us take a closer look at the records. here we have a list of some cities that will get pretty close, santa rosa with 35 is the expected low this morning. 37 is the record that is set back in 2009. now here is concord at 41 degrees. we're looking for the low, it could drop even

more than that. 41 was set back in 2001, hayward is another city with a good shot of beating their record low that was set back in 2001. that is the way that the temperatures shape up this morning. particularly in the north bay and east bay valleys it will be patchy fog will where it is localized it could be tens. we see less than a quarter of a mile visibility in some of our north bay valley. be careful of that. now around 8:00 a.m. we see mostly thirties, forties and fifties. by noon, we get some sixties out there but not too much. by this afternoon we will look for the low to mid '60's but a good portion of the bay area will be in the upper 50s and maybe low 60s. now 60 is the expected high in oakland, hayward and livermore. we are expecting low 60s as well across the north bay.
