live look outside is actually a clear start to the morning. we are contending with a light wind that is pushing in fog. we do have a chance for rain fall as we head into the latter part of the week and stretching into the weekend. let us check out your current conditions in your temperatures right outside the door. you'll probably notice that it is a couple of degrees cooler than what was just today. a couple of locations in the north bay are sitting in the upper '30's. we have about two degrees more than that and open, and down in the south bay we see a big batch of '40's. we are still holding

on to some upper 40 to north bay but for the most part we will be in the '50s everywhere else. closer to lunch time you'll see a lot more green on your screen indicating temperatures in the low 60s there. as we advance closer to the afternoon, there is not much change in the temperatures. for the most part we have mid-60's for most of the bay area and holding on to some upper 50s along the coast. thus break down those numbers neighborhood by neighborhood. it is very similar to yesterday, a lot of sunshine and temperatures are getting up to about 59 half moon bay, 62 in hayward and up into the north bay they will see a wide range of '60s here. now, taking a look at satellite radar all is clear right here in the bay area right now but all that will change in the next couple of days because we have a storm front moving its way in. you

will see that on your extended forecast, what was on tap possibly thursday night up to the north bay and then stretched into saturday and sunday. we have some overnight construction but it is not affecting any dry times. the san mateo bridge is a nice and easy ride in both directions of highway 92. the golden gate bridge rye south bound 101 has a lot of space in between cars. here is a look at our traffic map, we have peace they conditions with no problems out of highway for antioch toward pittsburgh. if you are

>>erica: been morning we are taking a live look from our mount tancam is, you can see the trees swinging back and forth so it is a windy day. as a result, we are seen problems with its ability but as we head into the afternoon hours we will see plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures for the most part sitting in the mid-60s. as we head into the overnight hours we will continue to see clear conditions and we will see breezy wind averaging at about 80 mi. from our. your

current temperatures, you can see we are sitting in the upper 30's for most of our north bay locations. one of our warmer spots this morning is about two degrees warmer than that in through oakland and down through the south bay we see a mixture of 40's there. 44 for los gatos, and 47 for those in san jose. as he take a look at your visibility charge this is a current look at where the visibility is, all of this orange and yellow indicates between one and 2 mi. of visibility no dense fog warning has been issued just yet but be aware that hazardous conditions could persist for your ride along highway 101 this morning. take a look it were your temperatures will go by 2:00 p.m. we're working with a tight range of temperatures. oakland is at 63 degrees, from redwood city is a little bit cooler along the coastline. and for

the communities down in the south bay we have mid-60's there, 64 in livermore, the same for antioch and of the to the north bay. once the valley fog is no longer a problem we will see low 60s in fact for places like san raphael and through navato. 60 for those in richmond the same goes for downtown san francisco. as you look 47 there around the bay forecast we have mild mostly sunny conditions for the next couple days. we introduce more clouds in the picture as we get closer to thursday. thursday night we could have a chance for rain fall to the north bay and stretching into friday, saturday and sunday along with that we will see very cool temperatures and high is only getting into the mid-50s and year lows could get down to the mid '30's for places like livermore. the good news is as we work our way closer to monday we see a little bit more sunshine of for the most part we will see partly cloudy conditions. over to traffic there are no hot

spots, the bay bridge toll plaza is a nice and easy ride right now. traffic is moving well from west bound 580 and in a westbound direction of the nimitz freeway. no overnight work to deal with and the drive time is under nine minutes from the foot of the maze. the san mateo bridge ride is nice and easy in both directions of highway 92. no directions--no delays whatsoever on the san mateo bridge ride. as we take it over to the traffic map, you will see a lot of green on the screen the bayshore freeway is looking good with speeds over 50 mph. we do have some over my construction in effect, both directions of the dumbarton bridge right now but it is not producing any slowdowns in fact it will be out of the roadway by 5:00 a.m.. >>justine: that year, two of

>>justine: a new cnn poll released today shows that herman cain has dropped third place among republican voters. support for new gingrich jumped 14 percentage points. he is now in second place with 22 percent and mit romney remains the steady front runner with 24 percent. whomever the gop can add it turns out to be, he or she will potentially give president obama a heated race in 2012. a new poll released shows that the president is just one percentage point ahead of a generic republican candidate amongst registered voters. the situation has changed

since october and september when the republican candidate was slightly ahead of president obama. and of the shutdown of the federal aviation administration is possible. this is according to senator jay rockefeller. he says lawmakers have not resolve a labor issue that is holding up passage of a long term funding bill for the agency. the faa was shut down for two weeks this summer and the dispute involving the labor issue, tens of thousands of labor employees and airport construction workers were temporarily laid off. >>james: while the white house is touting progress in expanding its effort as it continues to take actions that need no congressional approval, the administration announced a pilot program or several intended to further cut waste and fraud in medicare and medicaid. the white house released new figures saying that it cut improper payments by nearly $18 billion in the year 2011. meanwhile, man's best

>>reporter: protesters regrouped and held a rally outside of oakland the main library at 4:00 p.m.. many who told have been released from jail after they run arrested when the police raided the encampment of frank ogawa plaza for the second time in nearly one month. >> the reason it cannot be stopped is because the conditions that created bit still exist.--that created

mountain view is one of our warmer locations this afternoon. we are a little bit cooler at the coastline for those at half moon bay and 64 for antioch and up to the north bay once they rid themselves a lot of that valley fog, it will reveal some sixties as well. as you can see everything is clear in the bay area right now we have a storm system ushering its way through with that, we will see cooler temperatures and wet weather of that is on your extended forecast. as we get closer to thursday will see a lot more cloud coverage out there. by the evening hours we could see some light rain falls up to the north bay. on friday the chances increase for showery activities. the

temperatures are only getting in the mid '50s for your highs, and keeping it in the 30's and '40's for in the lows. as we check out traffic this morning the approach to the bay bridge toll plaza, no change in conditions compared to our last report. we still see a great conditions easily moving at the toll plaza flats. there are no metering lights to deal with, and traffic moves will cross the incline. here is a live look at the golden gate bridge south bound 101. it does show problem preconditions for the most part. you can see flashing lights in the middle of your screen i checked the chp traffic law that i'm not sure that's about the good news is that it is not producing any slowdowns in fact this is still running under 24 minutes out a bottle for san francisco. as for public transit, there is

last report. the san mateo bridge is nice and easy in both directions. the bright lights coming towards you are headed east down into hayward this is just 14 minutes from end to end across the span. and from the golden gate bridge south bound 101, there are no problems or significant delays. the drive is still under 24 minutes coming out of the vital toward city limits. as i turn our attention to the traffic maps we show you what is going on down in the south bay. we have patches of slow going where the speed slowed down to about 40 mph. there is some road work still in effect. north bound 101 this problem free through the coyote valley if you are taking public transit like so do in my last report, we are problem free through ac transit, caltrans and muni. >>justine: new this morning americans could see rising prices as we head into the busy holiday season.

analysts say that crude oil prices have increased by 20 percent since the beginning of october and that will likely lead to higher prices at the pump. there are reaching $100 per barrel for the first time since mid july. some analysts believe that these prices will continue to trend upward and we could see gas prices above $4 per gallon that depend has not had--been since 2008. also, a lawyer faces contempt hearing for an interview he gave during the trial. he appeared on nbc's today show and gave an interview in which he criticized a prosecution witness in the dr. murray trial and make comments about the jury. the judge said that he found the interview shocking since it came only hours after he won the defense attorneys not to comment on the case outside of court. the way we listen to music my partly to blame for this, a new study said that more than 48

cleaning up the occupy open in kama is skyrocketing. they have spent an estimated $2.4 million in the money has gone to maintaining security upgrade an opening at least one winter shelter earlier. also this morning, civil rights groups are suing the city of open in an attempt to prevent police from using tear gas and other crowd control weapons on occupy protesters. the northern california branch of the american civil you liberties union filed a lawsuit yesterday seeking an emergency restraining order against the opd. this video was shot between the police and protesters. >> darya: occupy oakland protesters would join berkeley protesters for a another attempt to set up an occupy cal camp. the us go live with a reporter jackie says so, our solo reporter in the field taking a look

at the general strike that is planned for today. >>reporter: good morning, you can see the poster stamp all over the camp telling people about the general strike that is supposed to happen today here on the cal campus i am just a few hundred yards away from where the occupy situation is going on here. it is a little different than it is or it was over in oakland. there are no tents over there, there are three or four occupy protesters sitting on the steps at this point. there is no real in camden. we remember what happened last week when they attempt to set up the camp, today they call for a general strike hoping that faculty and staff will abide, and we're being told that possibly a lot of the people from occupy oakland who were routed out of frank ogawa plaza yesterday morning they come over here today in support of this general strike. >> darya: let us take a look from the video from last thursday as you can see, year after the protesters

tried to set up the camp, you can see the demonstrators here last thursday. the police officers took a wait a tank from an occupy protesters in the plaza. >>james: and this scene is very similar to the one in oakland that played out early this morning in new york city hundreds of police officers have cleared the part of occupy wall street protesters so that it can be cleaned. it was not without a lot of shouting and yelling and some pushing and shoving as well. this is where the original in canada went up two months ago sparked the occupy movement across the country and really across the world. we understand at least 70 people have been arrested in last night's raid protesters have been told that they can return with the park is clean but they cannot bring back sleeping bags to the park. hundreds of residents and their supporters are marching along lower manhattan before dawn this morning. we saw those and some of the live shots coming out n.y. and they're

>>darya: our team coverage of the occupy movement continues as protesters from occupy oakland are set to join protesters from berkeley for a general strike today in another attempt to set up an occupied cal and candid. jackie sissel is in berkeley right now taking a look at the general strike that is planned for today. >>jackie: the attention turns to the cal berkeley campus this morning as they have called for a general strike to take place today. as you know, last thursday there was a class but--there was a clash with police. this morning you can see that there are only three protesters set up. they have called for a general strike and they're hoping that the staff and faculty will be it behind them.

this morning 70 people have been arrested. justine waldman is standing by with the latest. >>justine: the mayor is at the podium talking about the reasons for clearing out the park earlier this morning. he says that it was done at 1:00 a.m. east coast time in order to avoid any confrontations between the people who have been living in the park into the people who live near that area. as we listen in to what is happening, the mayor also address a court order that has been issued with the judge is now ruling against what the city did saying that people should be allowed to keep tens and tarps and sleeping bags and the park. as they are trying to sort out this legal issue, the park is going to remain closed. we will continue to listen in on what the mayor is saying and see if the police sheikdoms in there. we'll announce it later on. >>darya: here is a look at the weather. it books terrific.

since the beginning of october. fees are likely to see even higher prices at the pump. u.s. crude oil prices are up for the first time since july. also this morning, a law partner of defense attorney for dr. conrad murray's is facing a contempt hearing. the judge threatened to hold mass all for it in contempt for his appearance on the nbc today show. he gave an interview in which he criticized a prosecution witness in the trial. the judge said that he founded the interview shocking. he wore the defense attorneys not to comment on this case outside of court.
