>>erica: here is a quick look at your thanksgiving forecast. widespread showers from north to south. as we head into the afternoon, hopefully we will see dry conditions and sunshine in time for thanksgiving. overnight, partly cloudy conditions in the speeds averaging 8 mi. per hour. temperatures sitting in the low 40's. let me show you where the wet weather is. it is making its way closer to the heart of the bay area. as we zoom in on some communities, there is shower activity through walnut creek, concord and martinez. also over highway 4 and 680. if you are on the roads, be aware of that. storm tracker 4 is showing what conditions along the

peninsula. look at how also and redwood city. as we zoom in, into the north bay, in places like sausalito and tiburon, i did not see too much in rainfall but it has intensified over the past couple of minutes. current conditions are mostly in the '50s. santa rosa at 52, the same for novato and the same for downtown san francisco. places like fairfield are a little bit cooler. a mixture of mid-50s into the south bay. as we head into the afternoon, temperatures will remain in the '50s. by 11:00 a.m., the blue on the screen indicates everyone in the low 50s. by 2:00 p.m., upper 50s around the bay in one or two places. your 7 they are on the forecast shows wet weather this thanksgiving morning. as we move closer to the afternoon we will

are scrapping the food. this is an annual thanksgiving dinner that belied the together and has been doing for over 30 years, as you said, over 5000 people are expected to be fed today. that starts at 9:00 a.m. and goes until 2:00 p.m.. they will be serving breakfasts around 7:00 a.m.. the big kickoff is the turkeys and hams. they expect some 600 volunteers to show up today throughout the day to help cook, chopped or serve these dinners. this is an event that has been going on for over 30 years. it is a tradition for a lot of families and a lot of people that come out here to help a volunteer. it really helps the city as the people in it. it is very quiet out here. we expect to see volunteers of about an hour or so. >>justine: also today, even though it is early on this thanksgiving morning, a lot of people are already thinking about shopping.
