>>darya: will tran is live at children's hospital in oakland with more on the conditions of the victims from last night's shooting. >>will: about 30 minutes ago i got an update from the oakland police department. investigators were here for about an hour to speak with the doctors and family of the one-year-old boy who was rushed to the hospital by his father was also shot. the one-year-old boy is a live but still in critical condition. hopefully, he will pull through. we're hoping to speak with someone to get an update on his condition. fix here is video

of the investigators. according to them there have been no arrests made and there is no motive. they did say that the chief of police clans to hold a news conference to go into details as far as what happens. fear is it video from the surveillance camera at the liquor store. this happened around 6:20 p.m.. the hawks reportedly shots were fired while a local rapper was shooting a video. that has not been confirmed. nonetheless, a lot of people were out there all along with a one-year-old. a total of eight people were shot. the other people that were shot themselves to the hospital, they have not life-threatening injuries. we're hoping to get an update on the condition of the one-year-old boy but for now he remains in critical

protesters say that the tents will go up again in frank ogawa plaza, that they will be back there around noon today. the city of oakland says the plaza will remain open to the public but camping will not be tolerated. yesterday, the uc board of regents asked the state to increase funding to the 10th campus system to aid in hiring instructors and avoid raising tuition. they did not vote on a specific tuition proposal. yesterday's meeting happened a teleconference and was briefly interrupted by protesters. dozens of students and employees spoke out against tuition hikes and the university holly's. police were seen pepper spray protesters at close range. the protestors were just sitting peacefully. yesterday's meeting had been rescheduled from a couple of police ago because of threats of violence.
