seeing right now. 22 at sfo. 25 in mountain view. pretty substantial and that is enough to blow a lot of debris around in your neighborhood. as we map where the winds will go throughout the day, a future cast 4 is set for 7:00 a.m.. even then we're looking for decent winds coming out of the fairfield. 32 in san francisco, 34 in redwood city. we will push the clock to noon, we still have strong winds. the numbers did not diminish that much.

we will be dealing with strong winds into evening and overnight. it will be blustery all day long. as we have been saying, to take a shot of what the wind has stunted the streets in your neighborhood. this afternoon we will warm up to the low- mid-60s. the winds should die down and begin to diminish this evening.

northbound 101 approaching 87, just 40 mi. per hour there. interstate 80 is currently a problem free. no accidents or incidents reported. agreed on your speed indicates speeds over 50 mi. per hour. if you're thinking about public transit, there are no problems or delays whatsoever. >>mark: members are bracing for an 8:00 a.m. deadline to pack up their tents and lead justin herman plaza. city leaders propose that protesters live to a new site, an empty school district near the mission district, but the protesters declined.

the north bay are not seeing much of anything. the wind advisories have been camped for them. for just about everyone else, strong and gusty winds. let's focus back on the maps and talk about temperatures. they are on the warm side. the northerly wind is bringing us warmer air. that is why temperatures are as warm as they are this afternoon. temperatures will be in the low-mid-60s. a mild day on tap. your 7 day around the bay, as we take a look beyond the windstorm for today, it is not bad. freezing conditions friday and saturday if but a lot less intense than it is right now. 6:18 a.m., let's

find out about traffic. traffic is backing up towards the middle of the parking lot. conditions are not too bad. a high wind advisory for your ride along the upper deck but still no accidents associated with this. as we take a look at the san mateo bridge, a high wind advisory carries over. traffic is pretty thick on the right-hand side of the screen out towards foster city. we do not have any delays the golden gate bridge right southbound 101, pretty clear conditions. a lot of space between cars with the traffic moving slowly for your ride out of marin county. east bay conditions are a little bit slow.

patches of slowing in through livermore westbound 580. southbound 680 is moving pretty well. as i already mentioned, the nimitz freeway is looking good of both directions >>darya: 6:19 a.m., our developing story is a fire in san francisco. yoli aceves is live at 24th and bartlett. we understand that four people were injured. can you update us on the condition of those people? >>yoli: is a lot more serious. two people are in critical condition and to people are in stable condition. we spoke to the fire chief who said that all of those people came from the top get it. initially this is where they believe the fire started. they were able to take three of those people out for the front door and the the fourth person, they have to take them out the window and down the ladder. since both

>> roughly 24-30 people have been displaced. i did see a couple of people out here, the red cross has arrived. they are being assisted by the red cross. a couple of people have told me that they have friends in the neighborhood and they think it will be able to stay with them as opposed to using the services of the red cross. >>darya: as you can see the firefighters are still there as they are mopping up and investigating that fire that happened around 4:30 a.m.. >>mark: thousands of people gathered in vallejo to pay their respects to honor

officer: and a former marine james capoot. he was gunned down two weeks ago during an attempted bank robbery. many remember him as a hard worker and a mentor. this ceremony ended with a flyover. in danville, the body of lance corporal joshua crowd was escorted by a full contingent of marines. hundreds of mourners paid their respects to the popular young marine. he was only 19 years old and killed during combat operations in afghanistan on november 18th. >>darya: the public is invited to pay their respects to sean walsh at the oak hill funeral home at 9:00 a.m.. the national guard specialists died in afghanistan on november 16th. he was a part of the military police and his tour in afghanistan was almost over. he only had one a month to go before his unit was set to return home. his

sunny skies. we are looking for conditions to mellow out as we head into the weekend. saturday and sunday, pretty good with sunny skies and temperatures and below-mid- 60s. pretty much on track with what we expect this time of year. the first half of next week is off to a good start. >>erica: it looks like we have a hot spot. here is a closer look at our traffic maps. in pleasanton, reports of a multi vehicle serious injury crash. all of the liens except the left hand lanes are blocked. there is a lot of red and yellow building on the screen. speeds are crawling, down to just 5 mi. per hour. expect major delays coming off of the altamont pass. this is the only hot spot. a strong wind advisory in effect for most bay area bridges. the metering lights have been activated. traffic is really stacking up coming from

interstate 80 and even the ec over crossing itself. the san mateo bridge is pretty sick westbound towards foster city. that camera is shaking around. a strong wind advisories in effect into the ride is under 16 minutes from end to end. as we take things over to the golden gate bridge, traffic is pretty quiet. we are seeing a lot of space between cars. we are delay freak accident free for your ride out of the north bay.

>>mark: a deadline this morning for occupy san francisco to pack up their tents at justin herman plaza. city leaders are proposing that the move to a new site, an empty school building in the mission district. protesters declined to that proposal. health officials say the encampment is a public health nuisance. we will monitor the situation and to bring you any updates as the deadline approaches. >>darya: in oakland, a one- year-old boy that was shot has improved. he was shot in a parking lots with a music video was being filmed. that is where there was a candlelight vigil last night for the victims. people

>>mark: we are continuing to watch the winds around the bay area. here is our camera out man-desk at mt. tam. wind gusts up to 50 m.p.h.. wind gusts up to 70 m.p.h. in mount diablo. wind gusts at 33 mi. per hour in san jose. the winds are shaking the camera. we also have a very heavy traffic on 101 northbound. a high wind warning for the hills. that will be downgraded to a win the advisories. >>darya: we are 10 minutes into the trading day on wall street. the dow is down by 36 points right now, this after the dow had its biggest day in more than two years, yesterday. it was a very exciting day on wall street. there was a move by major central banks to cut

borrowing costs. that really helped things out. european stock markets are mixed this morning. will be keeping our eyes to see if we can climb to positive territory. republicans and democrats are heading for a face-off over an extension of the payroll tax cuts. it is due to expire at the end of the year. it gave the average american family in extra $1,000 in income. the democratic plan to save the cut would do so by a tax on millionaires, and increased tax on millionaires. the republicans would pay for keeping that cut. neither plan is expected to pass because neither side ever agrees. >>mark: we will be right back as the kron4 news continues. here is a live look outside as we take a look at san francisco.

>>mark: welcome back. more on the windy weather. will airtran is driving around with more on the bay area roadway commute. >>will: mark, i am driving on a one-to-one southbound pass the san jose airport. traffic is still very light. it is not just as the at times. it is testy all the times. fortunately there is not a lot of debris on the roadway. even driving on the city's streets, you can see garbage, branches and twigs. on the city roads, be careful. on the freeways, you should be fine as long as you keep both hands on the wheel. the gusty

conditions are not as strong as they were maybe 20 minutes ago >>will: we will check back with you. >>erica: take a look at our traffic mabs'. we have a multiple lanes blocked. traffic is only getting by in the left hand lanes off. there are reports of a serious injury accident. gridlock's conditions. their red is building of the screen with speeds practically in the single digits. we are seeing big delays of of the also want passed. the delays are now stretching towards tracy, allow yourself a lot of extra time if you're using westbound 580 or, you could use an alternate route which is actually dublin boulevard. this is the only hot spot we are falling, take a look at the approach to the bay bridge, a backup is forming coming from interstate 80. 880 is

probably your best bet coming out of oakland to san francisco. the san detailed bridge ride is still pretty sick. also we are still following a high wind advisory for the span. you will want to drive with extra caution, especially if you are in a high profile it vehicle. the golden gate bridge, southbound 101, the headlights are making their way toward san francisco. a pretty clear drive with no delays out of marin county. the time right now is 6:47 a.m., james is here with a look at the forecast. >>james: here is a look at the james lick freeway. here is what we are expecting for weather today. strong winds is scheduled to persist throughout the morning. temperatures in the '40's and '50's. it will remain cool and windy as we had to the afternoon.

continued preconditions as we head into the overnight hours. 23 mi. per hour sustained winds in fairfield. 13 mi. per hour winds in nevada. 33 near half moon bay. in san jose, 22 of our wins. at the moment it is still blustery and relatively dusty--dusty as well. stronger when gusts as you head higher in elevation. the north bay valleys, as you can see, these protected valleys were under a high winds advisories, that has been cancelled. the high wind warning is still there. in the east bay hills, the warning has expired but the advisory still exists. no matter where you are you will still have a windy morning in a windy day with downed trees and branches a possibility. we have seen some come down already over

night. power outages this morning as a result. pg&e is working against the clock trying to get that was stored. 57 is the current temperature in san francisco. 54 in san jose. we are off to a mild start. warmer temperatures this morning anywhere from five, 10 or 15 degrees warmer. this afternoon, low-mid- 60s. we are right near 60 degrees in antioch. across the north bay, low-mid-60s. here is your 7 day around the bay. a lot of sunshine as we head into the weekend. once we get past the wind today we're looking for a fantastic saturday and sunday. >>darya: a high winds were a problem this morning and a big concern for people who were dealing with a fire in san francisco. the fire department is still on the scene, so is yoli eceves. this is at 24th into

bartlett's streets in san francisco. how many people were injured? >>yoli: therefore people injured. >>darya: what are they doing right now? this ladder truck has been there for quite a while. >> they're making sure that all of the hot spots are out. there is still some degree. at one point, the need to make sure that all the hot spots are out. in the meantime the ought to tents and the rest of the people who had been living in this apartment complex fans have gotten permission to go back inside to grab what they can out of their apartments. as you can imagine, this happened around 4:00 a.m.. many of these people were sleeping, they basically ran out in their pajamas or shorts. some even ran out without any shoes on. the red cross has been on the scene to

assist. at this point they are able to go back in to grab what they can. >>darya: the apartment affected was the one on the top floor. at the height of the fire, windows and blew out and people were showered by the glass. one person was taken to hospital. one person had to be taken out through the window and down a ladder. that person i believe was the first person they ss as being in critical condition. it is still unclear what exactly the injury was. there was definitely a lot of smoke a and heat and the glass that injured quite a few people.
