mid-upper 60s this afternoon. for now, take a look at the satellite you. clear skies. we are looking at a pretty stable weather forecast for at least the next several days. take a look at your 7 day around the bay. sunshine for saturday, sunday at the first half of next week. temperatures are right where we expect them to be. overnight, we could cool things down. once the winds disappear, hour overnight lows should shift well into the thirties. watch out for that. that is our forecast, and now, on to traffic.

out of millbrae. it looks like bart is recovering from an earlier problem with an equipment problem on the tracks. this is a tree that fell on a home, an elderly woman and her son were trapped inside, they had to be rescued by fire crews. the santa ana winds are becoming really crab plant end strong, not only in southern california but also and nevada. crews are slowly restoring power to hundreds of thousands of customers. the 270,000 utility customers still did not have

power last night. >>justine: this just in, the labor department just put out new unemployment numbers and the unemployment rate fell to 8.6%, that is listed no. since march of 2009 since the depths of the recession. employers added 120,000 jobs off last month. employers have stepped up hiring in response to the improving economy. the unemployment rate is now down to 8.6%. a quick break but we will be back with much more after this.

yesterday, we've roof some records in terms of highs. calf many cities broke their record highs yesterday. similar temperatures are on tap for today. the temperatures is what you will notice as you head out the door. it is warm, bay area wide. we have near 60 degrees in fremont. all and all we are off to a pretty warm start. afternoon

temperatures will be that much warmer as well. we are looking for mid-upper 60s and possibly lowe's 70's. in san jose, 71 is the expected high. upper 60s across antioch, livermore and the san ramon valley. the santa rosa could very well get up to 71. we will see what happens. mid-upper 60s in san francisco. we have plenty of sunshine on tap. the one caveat is now that the winds are exiting the area blue will not have the natural heat.

still has a high wind advisory in effect. especially if you are in a high-profile vehicle or small car, the potential hot spot still exists on southbound 680. i just checked the bart web site, they are still reporting delays of 5-10 minutes from millbrae sfo into pittsburgh. this is due to an earlier equipment problem on the tracks. allow yourself a little bit of extra time on bart in and on commute direction. >>justine: here is what is just into the kron4 news from. costs new numbers on of lenin, it is now at 8.6%.

>>mark: we are keeping our eyes on bay area weather. the winds are starting to calm down a bit. a warm morning out there with temperatures in the '50s and '60s. >>darya: in indiana, a chilling emergency radio calls for help are out in connection with this deadly stage collapsed at an indiana state fair back in august. for the first time, confirmation that state police were actually awaiting the arrival of the storm. >> it looks like about 30 minutes or less before the weather comes in. all units, severe thunderstorm warning. use your best judgment. >> this stage frame and speakers have collapsed on to the rows of chairs just in front.

>>james: we will still be experiencing gusty conditions this morning. the weather service has canceled the wind advisory that was captioned--thought was in effect this morning. sunny and mild conditions and warm in some spots. this evening we will keep things cool as we head into the overnight hours. the winds are confined mainly to the north bay. temperatures are something that we can talk about. take a look at oakland. 60 degrees, 62 in hayward. mid-60's in nevada and in napa. upper 50s for antioch and livermore. we are expecting another warm day today. yesterday was pretty warm but the wind took over the headlines.
