police department is getting some much needed manpower. the department has held its first class of trainees since laying off 80 officers more than a year-and-a-half ago. tin cadets are expected to be full-fledged officers by spring. the city received $10 million in a federal grant to hire a total of 25 new cadets. also recruiting new trainees, the san jose fire department. 10 recruits are also in this program and are being put through some restraining. the department of dozens of firefighters last year but thanks to a federal grant they were able to make some new hires. after graduation these recruits will go into the field next week. other news around california, some newly released surveillance video out of the san diego area. you have to check this out, this car plowed right to the front door of a restaurant and then into the main part of a restaurant. customers scramble to get out of the way this happened on friday. at least two people suffered minor
