members. they have chosen not to talk with the media. the mother has been so vocal in this case, she has chosen to stay inside the hospital and spend his final evening with her young son. he is still alive at this point will be taken off life- support at 1:00 p.m. tomorrow afternoon. as you live in these pictures, keep in mind this was when he was taken to hospital after he was shot just last week. now why have they made this decision at this point? they have made this decision because the doctors have come to the conclusion that the baby's brain dead. the difference between today and yesterday is that yesterday the doctors from the children's hospital were saying that but family members wanted to get a second opinion. they brought in their pediatrician and a pediatrician at what those doctors from the children's hospital today and they came to that conclusion that he is in fact brain-dead and legally deceased according to lawyers in this case.

>>reporter: high-speed rail to southern california may be getting some speed bumps. today the valley transportation authority unanimously approved a plan to help make it happen. the extension would start in fremont and right now that is the southernmost bart stop. the track would extend south to san jose's area. in between there would be a stop here in milpitas. they say this would create more than 10,000 jobs. if all the funding is received, construction could begin next spring.

credit-card agreements are notorious for their fine print and difficult agreements. all that could become a thing of the past. >>reporter: there are more than 500 million people in the united states that have credit cards the most say they do not understand how the cards work. that is why the consumer financial protection bureau is coming out with a prototype for a

new type of credit card agreement, one written in plain english. the project is called know before you know, this aims to help consumers better understand their card information. for starters, this is shorter it runs a little over 1000 words and the average credit card agreement is now about 5000 words. this has an easier to read layout and is a--is designed to be more consumer friendly with less fine print. currently credit-card companies are not required to adopt the prototype, but once the testing is over, this could be made an industrywide standard that would more easily allow consumers to comparison shop for cards. this will be tested drug the first half of next year, consumers are encouraged to get their feedback on the new template at the consumer finance protection bureau's website. >>pam: this is one the
