members. they have chosen not to talk with the media. the mother has been so vocal in this case, she has chosen to stay inside the hospital and spend his final evening with her young son. he is still alive at this point will be taken off life- support at 1:00 p.m. tomorrow afternoon. as you live in these pictures, keep in mind this was when he was taken to hospital after he was shot just last week. now why have they made this decision at this point? they have made this decision because the doctors have come to the conclusion that the baby's brain dead. the difference between today and yesterday is that yesterday the doctors from the children's hospital were saying that but family members wanted to get a second opinion. they brought in their pediatrician and a pediatrician at what those doctors from the children's hospital today and they came to that conclusion that he is in fact brain-dead and legally deceased according to lawyers in this case.

has a civil suit filed by this man. he says that find sexually abused him when he was 13 years old. and he was in court earlier for sexually abusing a teenage boy. >> i know that i have done harm to a child as an adult and for that i am deeply sorry any to be truthful. >>reporter: this is the third person to accuse fine of abuse. they say the other two were credible but the statute of limitations means that fine cannot be charged. >> the victims have been so upsetting to have sandusky out there free rent and minimizing in doing what he was doing. >>reporter: sandusky now has 10 related victims. after a

>>reporter: high-speed rail to southern california may be getting some speed bumps. today the valley transportation authority unanimously approved a plan to help make it happen. the extension would start in fremont and right now that is the southernmost bart stop. the track would extend south to san jose's area. in between there would be a stop here in milpitas. they say this would create more than 10,000 jobs. if all the funding is received, construction could begin next spring.

>> it has been teen years in the making. we have awarded the major construction contracts to build the first 10 mouth.-- 10 miles. we hope this project will touch some 13,000 jobs in the area. this project has been driven entirely by the voters they have to prioritize the project and supported the project with tax measures. they voted to tax themselves to pay for it. not only the construction, but the operation and maintenance as well. every expectation is that we will have a groundbreaking early in 2012 and hopefully the bart train is running back late 2016 or early 2017. >>reporter: the federal

government's share of the project is expected to be completed in february. for now they are working on funding for face to.--for phase 2. that is the very latest, stay with us, will be back after this.

off life-support here at the children's hospital. this will happen tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. doctors have determined that he is brain dead and he is legally deceased according to lawyers. >>reporter: here on 106 in foothill boulevard on east oakland, a suspect one of for the recent black friday shooting incident at wal- mart in san leandro was held up an in-house midway down the block he eventually gave himself up to the police. investigators said that the suspect allegedly shot and wounded and then during the course of an at the wal-mart parking lot early black friday morning. >>reporter: in hayward, for the first time we're hearing from 21 year old christopher morillo and his two cousins who were attacked in a wal- mart parking lot on black

friday. christopher suffered a gunshot wound to the neck he has sustained serious injuries including his nerves damaged and his vocal cords are damaged. christopher and his cousin say they're happy that two suspects have been apprehended but their concern that the two more people will attack them let --to more people who allegedly attacked and that night are still on the loose. >>reporter: and other big story, this lucky grocery store is one that is added to a long list of lucky stores with a compromise that card and credit card machines. luckey said that they have found 20 stores with tampered machines and now they are adding four more including this facility. they have also identified 500 victims. and some say that they're missing hundreds of dollars from their bank accounts. federal authorities are hoping try to track down criminals involved. >>reporter: here at oakland

credit-card agreements are notorious for their fine print and difficult agreements. all that could become a thing of the past. >>reporter: there are more than 500 million people in the united states that have credit cards the most say they do not understand how the cards work. that is why the consumer financial protection bureau is coming out with a prototype for a

new type of credit card agreement, one written in plain english. the project is called know before you know, this aims to help consumers better understand their card information. for starters, this is shorter it runs a little over 1000 words and the average credit card agreement is now about 5000 words. this has an easier to read layout and is a--is designed to be more consumer friendly with less fine print. currently credit-card companies are not required to adopt the prototype, but once the testing is over, this could be made an industrywide standard that would more easily allow consumers to comparison shop for cards. this will be tested drug the first half of next year, consumers are encouraged to get their feedback on the new template at the consumer finance protection bureau's website. >>pam: this is one the
