>>reporter: in oakland family members of the 23 month old toddler who was shot in the head last week is ask king for peace. hiram lawrence was taken off life- support on friday. he suffered serious brain damage in after multiple tests the doctors concluded they simply cannot save him. he was shot back on november 28th while in his father's arms. it happened after the taping of a rap music video in the parking lot and relatives are pleading for no retaliation for the shooting. police also stepping up patrols were two rival gangs all elite. now the last time we talked you notice police cars patrolling the area? >>reporter: i have not seen many late this one and of the acorn area that record people's emotions might be tied.--be high. the police

>>reporter: the have new details for you this morning on the death of fred thompson. dr. san autopsy revealed that he had an enlarged heart. the 19 year- old died suddenly during a pickup basketball game at school. he was just days away from his 20th birthday. the doctor who performed the autopsy said an increased thickness of the heart muscle could cost an irregular heartbeat to the condition is a common cause of death in young athletes who may seem completely healthy but then die suddenly during heavy exercise. the oakland a's treadway an all-star pitcher, jensen has that and more in sports.
