planning an event at a church only parking lot where arrests were made. those protests against economic inequality began back on september 17th in lower manhattan. protesters or arrested and cleared out last month. there are no longer allowed to sleep there. there are even as planned in the bay area. for more on that, craig skalar is reporting live from justin herman plaza, the center of the occupy movement in san francisco. good morning. >>craig: it was a dissenter. it has been closed for a week since everyone has been moved out of here as well as moved out of market street. the folks from occupy movement are pretty dead set on continuing.

federal court for sentencing after being convicted of obstruction of justice for making misleading statements to a grand jury investigating the use of steroids in sports. he could have been sentenced to 15 months in prison. the judges of for the probation department but instead was sentenced to two years of probation and 30 days of home confinement. 250 hours of community service and a $400,000 fine. if the judge said she believed the bonds tried to obstruct justice but said he did not succeed and that the public consciousness had changed about steroids. she also cited under sentences-just others' sentences in steroid cases, his charitable works and how his actions were an aberration to an otherwise lawful life. prosecutors disagreed is saying the bonds was well versed in misleading people citing his mistresses while married. bonds had engaged in misconduct for years and

bonds had been unapologetic but the judge stuck with her sentence only then to put it on hold to allow attorneys to appeal the conviction. >> we absolutely believe that he was wrongly convicted. qr just as we aggressively fought in the trial, we will plan an appeal so that he can return to public life as a citizen, free of conviction as he had been until this case. >>dan: attorneys say that the appeals process could take a year-and-a-half, in the meantime he will remain free on bail. >>marty: lance williams, the co-author of the book exploring the use of steroids in baseball says the sentencing was predictable. fis says the judge has shown no track record of sending athletes
