advance close to the 11:00 hour, we will see mostly light blue and became temperatures in the '50s. by the afternoon we will see all of the screen showing on the screen up to the north bay and along our e shores in the can temperatures actually heading into the '60s. here's the breakdown neighborhood by neighborhood, we have a lot of sixties, 60 degrees for redwood city, hayward and fremont. we have upper 50s along the coast for places like half moon bay. we will see a lot of sunshine in the 60s only in the south bay but in the north bay as well. >>erica: your satellite and radar shows high pressure system over the bay area right now. it will remain that way, it is pretty strong to the entire forecasted area. we have a lot of sunshine and very few clouds. temperatures are in

the upper 50s and 60s although we will have to contend with the chilly mornings. in the traffic center we do not have any hot spots. the chp traffic clogs have been pretty quiet. we have some minor accident and a think -- some minor accident out there but nothing affecting the freeway. traffic is moving pretty well up the incline and across the upper deck. over here at the san mateo bridge the traffic is about equal in both directions of highway 92. this ride is just 14 minutes for an end to end. and south bound 101 you will see problem free conditions for your entire ride out marin county. i do want to show you the south bay once again. we usually see some routine slowly around the milpitas area. we are seeing speeds and the green over 50 mi. per hour and we do see a

making its way to the bay area or to lake tahoe were a lot of people were hoping they would have some wet stuff on the ground to see this weekend. >>erica: good morning, a lot of people were hoping for a white christmas especially up and talk home, but that definitely will not a case unless you like a man-made stuff. we have attempted in the 30's and '40's but as we head into the afternoon we will see mostly sunny conditions with very few cloud and temperatures are a couple of degrees warmer compared to what we saw yesterday. as we head into the overnight hours, the dense fog will roll back into the bay area. that will anticipate hazardous driving conditions we have more on that in just a little bit. the take a look at places like napa in the upper 20s and early hovering right near the freezing mark. santa rosa is coming in at 31 degrees, 30 for those in the bottle but everywhere south of the golden gate bridge when we see pretty mild conditions. the have 45

degrees in downtown san francisco, 37 and half moon bay and 32 for those in the review. as we check out with temperatures will go through arrest today looks like we will hold on to some of those charities for a portion of the north bay. everyone else is sitting in the 40's, may be squeezing out some fifties. it becomes a lot more widespread by the 11:00 hour. as we turn our attention to the afternoon highs, by 2:00 p.m. you can see the green begins to feel indicating temperatures actually getting into the '60s. we have a lot more succeed on the board today. places like oakland are getting up to about 62 degrees. we have 60 for hayward and redwood city. mountain view could be one of the warmer spots to run the bay area. we will continue to see the '60s in the north bay as well. as for christmas, we will not anticipate a white christmas or a wet one in the bay

area. we have mostly sunny conditions both christmas eve and christmas morning as well. our temperatures will be in the upper 50s and 60s but it looks like we will still contend with some chilly mornings. one last look at traffic i can assure you there are no problems that will get in your way. a few minutes ago by salt and small back up in one of the cash means, but that is now long gone. traffic is flowing freely your ride is clocked at under nine minutes from the foot of the maze to fremont this morning. there is traffic in the westbound direction out towards foster city but no major delays to speak of. we are currently active trade. south bound 101, we have a very easy ride with pretty clear conditions for your ride coming out of the north bay. over to the traffic mess i want to show what is going on in oakland. west

much in the way of rain. this weekend, we have a war forecast with temperatures in the mid-60s and 50 of sunshine. i do want to mention that yes, we have a lot of trouble going on this week. we had a lot of snow come down on kansas, in fact they're still dealing with a blizzard warning. you can see the storm continuing to push eastward. we watched it drop--we will watch this drop the course of the morning. >> mark: highways have been shut down from kansas all the way through mexico. down through mexico about 100 rescue calls came in from motorists. we have seen 10 in. of snow, but some of the snow drifts are up to 5 ft. high as the storm continues to push its way towards the east. we are tracking the
