before in a case of domestic violence. the original charge in the 2007 incident alleges that he be a woman. a woman that he was in a relationship in daly city and made a criminal threats against her. meaning that he made threats that will result in a woman's death or serious injury. he pled no contest to a misdemeanor assault charge. he served no time, instead he was sentenced to two years' probation and had to in role in anchor management. a restraining order was also filed against him on the victim's behalf. >>pam: the preliminary hearing starter for the man accused in four bay area cold case of murders. joseph nee soul appeared in court today he is accused of killing two women in the 1970's and two others in the 1990's. we were in court today and we're doing live from the marin county courthouse. teresa, what was he like as he was defending

himself and asking questions how would you describe him? >>reporter: the judge had to step in several times to tell him he could not do what he was doing many times he rambled and talk about himself and his past history and his background. the judge would correct him and say mr. naso that is not appropriate. it was a day full of drama as he appeared in court heavily shackled he asked the judge for his handcuffed to be taken off and that was granted. the first person to take the stand, that is roger jacobs a probation officer in nevada. he testified that during the search of naso's reno home, he found pictures and pictures of women and some appeared dead. he found newspaper clippings and some of them were for unsolved murder cases. when asked, naso said the women

on the list were old girlfriend and the pictures were part of an art project. he looks the same now as he did a previous court appearance that was videotaped last spring. coming up on kron4 news at 6:00 p.m. we have obtained these court documents. it spelled out more about what prosecutors plan to divulge in the next couple days during the preliminary hearing. there is some interesting stuff including dna evidence linking it juditha naso who is joseph naso ex-wife. >>reporter: the latest on decision 2012, mit romney has just won the new hampshire primary. they have called it not a surprise. q. can see the numbers and there. all of the crease scenes have not reported

just over 10 percent have reported but you can see is a fairly convincing win for mit romney. new heenan is his home turf, 36 percent ron hall coming in 27 percent of the votes. jon huntsman, jr who really ignore iowa and focused her written her school north on new england and new hampshire exclusively came in with 17 percent of the vote. as i said, all the precincts have not reported that it has been called mit romney the former massachusetts governor wednesday new hampshire primary. more details as they come in. >>pam: bart is going to san jose the deal to extend bart to san jose cleared a final hurdle. the u.s. department of transportation has recommended that congress set aside money for the project $900 million will help to pay for a 10 mi. extension from fremont and south to north east san jose but a couple of stations in between. rob fladeboe take a look at the route where the construction is already under way. >>reporter: the end of the south bound bart line fremont is the new beginning. construction has already begun for the first stop in south fremont. warm springs is just south of the parkway. the existing union

as prosecutors publicly detail their case against joseph naso for the first time. >>pam: and the oakland raiders fired head coach hugh jackson. we are live from the raiders' headquarters and talk with one raiders fan that goes head-to-head with our very own hazzig manyud. and the polls are now close in the new hampshire primary. we are tracking the results on how the gop presidential candidates feared so far. >> tonight we made history! [music] >>pam: at 6:00 p.m. for the first time prosecutors presented their murder case against joseph nee so. he is a 78 year old man charged in the four separate cold case murders. he is accused of killing these four women all from northern california with the same initials there first and last names. today teresa estacio was in court as prosecutors detail their

case against him. she joins us now live. >>reporter: while doses naso came into the court he was carrying to read were among glasses that he was constantly changing. earlier in the day he said he was not ready and his witnesses were not crept to go forward. late this afternoon finally after dozens of delays this case and finally was heard. nevada probation officer roger jacobs was the first person to take the stand. you can see him here walking with the prosecutor. he testified about finding dozens of new photographs and a soul reno home of women looking unconscious or perhaps dead. he said when he asked naso about them he said they were old girlfriend and they were part of an art project. jacobs also said he found newspaper clipping of murdered women and a list of

10 women. he said the last entry represents--references a girl with the word cemetery written next to a. --next to it. court documents reveal that dna evidence matching joseph's ethnic--ex-wife dna was found in one of the women's undergarments. >>reporter: he is charged for murdering four women in the '80s as well as the '90s. as far as this preliminary hearing is set to take place over a two week period and we are set to cover this. for now back

you pam. >>pam: maureen kelly went to one of the locations where frederick dozer worked not far from where the attacks happened. >>reporter: fred dozier worked for a country that educates residence on how to reduce waste and recycling. the property manager here says he is shocked about the arrest and not aware of the suspects having any problems on the job. here is a suspectp0--here is a picture of him on the web site and he is quoted saying the following. the woman i spoke here with at the housing project did not want to go on camera she said he seemed like a nice guy and she did not think he was capable of the crimes that he was accused of.

>>pam: a parolee accused of carjacking and sexually assaulting a driver is now in custody. police say david pointed a gun at the victim while she was parked in the work last night. he then drove her to a park where he attempted to sexually assault her. when he could not complete the act he forced her out of the car and drove away. police were able to track him down and arrest him. now they're looking to see if he was involved in another attempted kidnapping incident in fremont back in april 2010. seven years in prison for a san francisco man convicted of crossing state lines to have sex with a minor. today he was sentenced and now will be required to register as a sex offender after accidentally contacting an undercover agent on a social networking site and expressing interest in having sex with an under age child. he traveled to the meeting place in washington d.c. where he was arrested. federal officials say he also had digital media that contain child pornography.
