fathers foot police think that the girl is being held against her will either in ukiah or the stockton area. if you see either of the two people pictured on your screen police are asking that you give them a call. are of a developing story involves a missing hayward teenager. family and friends are organizing a search for the 14 year-old girl they have not seen since tuesday morning. darlene was last seen leaving her parents' home at 7:00 a.m.. family members believe she took a taxicab to the hayward bart station to go to oakland. the last contact with her friend was that 10:30 a.m. that morning with a text message. she is 5 ft. 4 in. and 100 lbs. with an olive complexion. she was last seen wearing black pants and a blue sweat shirt she suffers from anxiety disorder and may need medical assistance. >>james: we have new details

and a year old deadly drunk driving case that landed a mother from the bay area behind bars. this 51 year old is accused of buying the alcohol for her daughter's friend and police believe it was the alcohol that caused the crash to killed a teenage girl. the 17 year- old victim died along highway 101 last february. reggie kumar if spoke with the family. >>reporter: the father says he is angry after finding out on wednesday that a million purchase alcohol for his daughter the night before she died. >> i knew someone sold and the liquor but i did not know the mother of her friend did it, that was ridiculous. the alcohol played the biggest role in the accident. >>reporter: do remember the last words she said? >> i love you dad i will see when i come back. >>reporter: the young girl

was killed a week before her 18th birthday. her grandmother in cousin cannot believe that she's gone. >> she loved me a lot and i love her a lot. >>reporter: the grandmother says her granddaughter came to her house and hug her after-school she says that she loved her a lot. the grandmother says this is a lesson for everyone to not buy liquor for kids. >> i remember her personality in general, she brought happiness to our family. i will always remember her as that happy girl that all the cousins lived up to everyone wanted to be with her. >>james: police say that a million chin purchase the alcohol here at this market. margaret was with her at the time we're told one of the owners and another is in custody as well. the owner sold for the alcohol without checking the teens aideed.-

changes as we head into the weekend. we will see cooler conditions and we have the potential for wet weather as we head into next week. you will see that on your extended forecast. the potential for rain is actually a 60 percent chance. that chance increases as we head into thursday. in the meantime, we have nothing but sunshine especially as we wrap up the rest of the work week. temperatures are in the '60s in the climbing somewhat downward in the upper 50s by sunday. here in the traffic center it is pretty quiet a perfect time to leave your house with no hot spots to tell you about. the chp logs are pretty quiet. for the approach to the bay bridge toll plaza traffic is moving well. over at the san mateo bridge, we have a nice and easy ride awaiting you. the tillites out towards foster city, the bright lights coming towards you heading eastbound and hayward. a quick check of the golden gate bridge to not show too many cars is a perfect ride

this morning traffic is moving at the limit in this ride is just 23 minutes from the bottle toward san francisco. as he take up the traffic maps, all is well on the east bay freeway. south bound 680 is a good ride. west bound 24 is currently reporting no delays. as for the freeway. you will see top speeds well over 50 mi. per hour. it is pretty easy conditions like to mention no axes to report especially by that 8580 interchange. this drive for hercules to berkeley is clocking in at just 10 minutes this morning. >>james: and air traffic mix up almost caused to plans to collide. we are learning this morning about a close call. >>reporter: the question before the national transportation safety board, how did a southwest 737 and

a jet get so close to each other on the runway at chicago's midway airport. the jet carrying 79 people had just landed in cleared to cross a runway when another jet was taking off. according to ntsb report it was the co-pilot of the southwest plane that yields to his pilot to stop averting a collision. at its closest point they came within 300 ft. horizontal the and 62 ft. vertically. a southwest pilot radioed the control tower with frustration clear in his voice. >> with a danger point was, or the critical point was right here. the 737 stopped instead of going through a year and continuing around in it was

please confirm a report of a woman that was allegedly raped last week. it happened early friday morning at the infusion lounge that is near union square. police say the woman accepted a drink from a man that she did not know. she told the police that she felt dizzy shortly after consuming the drink and that is the last thing that she remembers for some time. the woman came to a few hours later and she did not have any clothes on. police say she quickly got dressed and ran out the door. the woman was picked up a few hours later by a friend of hers. police are not giving much information because of the nature of the crime. it is unclear how the time a situation like this happens in the city but the police wants to remind the public that it is dangerous toxic agent from anyone other than the bar staff. >>justine: the man accused of raping three women in san francisco's mission district went to court yesterday. for john doe sure is facing 26 felony charges including attempted murder, attempted

rape and multiple counts of kidnapping. they also stem from a string of attacks along 24 street. he is being held without bail and has not yet entered a plea. meantime people in the mission district where the rapes took place gathered to see how they can make the community safer. >>reporter: while the suspect arrested for three brutal sexual assaults is behind bars, the fear in the community remains. despite having a huge dog, linda who attended tonight's meeting was given extra protection by her daughter. >> i found paper sprayed my christmas stocking. >>reporter: she is not the only one, this is a picture of a brass mill taser that was carried by a woman on fair oaks street. this was where the last attack was happened--where the last attack happened. >> we really need to be

shift our focus to south of the golden gate bridge, check out downtown san francisco coming in at 48 degrees. now fog tracker for shows a the befall the north of santa rosa. this orange and yellow on your screen indicates speed and a half mile visibility. there are potentially hazardous driving conditions but it looks like it clears up as you make your way closer to petaluma. by 7:00 a.m. it looks like we will hold on to those 30's and stretching all the way to the in the interior valleys a little bit warmer along the coastline. as we warm up by a 11:00 a.m. all the light blue indicates for the most part everyone sitting in the upper 50s and maybe some 64 north bay and south bay locations. by 2:00 p.m. all of the screen on the screen indicates most locations making it into the '60s. very similar conditions to what we saw yesterday. a lot of sunshine offshore. the

wind is keeping the cloud over the ocean. the have a lot of sunshine as we head into the afternoon. it is a few degrees cooler into half moon bay and it looks like we will stay in the mid-60s for the south bay. check out vallejo, they're coming in at 63 degrees and one degrees cooler than that in through downtown san francisco. satellite and radar shows that high pressure is with us over the bay area. that is what is keeping us mild and sunny however big changes in store as we head into the weekend. we will see significantly cooler temperatures and partly cloudy conditions and the potential for wet weather as we head into the middle of next week. as we check out the traffic commute for you, no major hot spots. in fact you will see a few more cars at the approach to the bay bridge toll plaza but still a very easy ride in your eight minutes from the foot of the maze towards fremont street. as we gander at the golden gate bridge south bound 101 there are no

accidents to report. in fact it is a pretty easy ride coming out of the north bay this morning. checking our traffic maps for you, interstate 280 is currently problem free. as for north bound 101 we do not have any problems to report coming out of the coyote valley. we have mostly green on the road with sensors indicate speeds over 50 mph. it is a nice and easy ride. your drive time from the capitol expressway to the montague expressway on high 101 is clocking in at just 11 minutes this morning. >>justine: prosecutors continued to make their case against the accused killer joe said naso--joseph naso police say they have found what appears to be rape journal inside of his

with the details. >>erica: we have the potential for a rain and snow mixed by sunday evening. that chance decreases by the middle of next week. right now mild conditions around the bay area are pretty cool out there. we have several locations hovering below the freezing mark. as we head into the afternoon we warm things up and see very similar conditions to what we saw yesterday. so it is sunny and warm all around. the wet weather to speak of just yet. we continue with cold and freezing conditions. we have seen the same weather pattern for temperatures sitting in the '40's and the curtains. here are the numbers for you. bundle up. it is pretty frigid in navato, right at the freezing mark and conditions every were else we have 37 for oakland, half moon bay is at 43. and we see a mixture of 30's and '40's in the south bay as well. at 40 degrees for those in san jose and 37 for los gatos. by 7:00 a.m. it

the terminal is under construction in san francisco it is slated to have a multimillion dollar underground train station. there is growing concern inside of city hall that the trains may never actually arrive. charles clifford has this story. >>reporter: if all goes according to plan, the new terminal being built in san francisco will be a regional transportation hub connecting all parts of the bay area. there also be an underground train station. terminal construction is well underway. one of those high speed trains--with those high speed trains never arrive? they're looking for ways to cut money from the national budget and justice with a california legislator introduced a bill that would stop state funding. the high-speed rail system has broad support but at least one san francisco supervisor
