attorney charged the new shares with domestic violence and battery and is waiting a witness he is accused of losing his wife's arm during an argument on new year's eve. his wife has been defending him. >>reporter: san francisco mayor ed lee carefully weigh his options in this case. he said the charges filed by the district attorney are extremely serious and troubling. as elected officials our primary responsibility in focus will always be to fulfill our duties to the people of san francisco. he went on to say i must now review the facts and options available to me under the city charter, i must also ensure that we do not take steps that undermine the integrity of the criminal justice proceedings that are under way. a number of issues makes this complicated situation for he and his family both personally and professionally. we spoke with peter keen about this
