>>mark: did morning and think you for joining us on this tuesday morning. it is primary day in florida. the polls opened in the voting is now under way. newt gingrich and mitt romney are fighting a close battle, in the meantime santorum and paul will not be in florida. they're choosing to campaign in colorado and nevada instead. we are going gleiwitz of florida. we have more intense of and the race for the republican presidential nomination. >>reporter: the polls are open and in full swing in florida. mitt romney ended newt gingrich are duking it out for the 50 delegates at stake in this winner takes all state. romney is enjoying a double- digit lead heading into the contest and is hoping for a big win tonight.

on january 13th. investigators are saying the search is not over because of dangers that the search goes is to rescue workers. 17 bodies have been recovered and 16 people are still listed as missing. we will continue to keep you updated on this developing story. >>darya: and less than an hour, thousands of kaiser permanente workers will be walking off the job. will tran is live in oakland and talking about the reason for the strike. >>will: the reason why is health care workers are complaining about cuts in health care and retirement benefits. look at the security guards in front of waiting for the nurses to rise. this is a psychologist in optical workers' strikes that the nurses make of 17,000 nurses through the entire system and they are lending their sympathy.

message to them. i tried ask when is the next time they're headed to the bargaining table but so far, no one knows. >>mark: in walnut creek, bar owners are meeting to discuss ways to deal with the fighting downtown. this has women, nine people were arrested. one man was severely beaten in the city parking garages. these were to of the nine people arrested. the walnut creek police chief says the problem stems from too much drinking and that extra officers will now be on the streets. >> we hoped this will put a large dent into the issues that we have. >> it is over time off but i think the safety of the community is more significant and dollars spent. >> the mayor also says the city council is working to past agreements that would give the city more power to hold bars accountable for serving to much of all. >>darya: this tuesday

the first time they said everything seemed ok and the second time, the bodies were discovered. >>darya: a suspect charged in connection with the shooting of james capoot is going to be in court today. 38 year-old henry out for smith jr. has eight preliminary hearing in is charged with murdering the on duty police officer after committing a robbery. he was shot as he chased the bank robbery suspects back in november. he was a 19 year veteran of the vallejo police aren't. >>mark: we could find out today at a construction company could face criminal charges after a carpenter was killed in a mud slide. he was crushed when a hillside collapsed on home construction site in milipitas on saturday. inspectors ordered that all work should be halted three days for the accident.

mitt romney and newt gingrich are in a close battle with romney in the lead. thousands of kaiser permanente workers will be walking off the job in the largest one day strike in hmo history. they are upset over proposed cuts to employee benefits. officials have called of the underwater search for people still missing from the cruise ship disaster. investigators say it is because of dangerous rescue operations. 16 people are still listed as missing. >>mark: here is a live look from the mt. tam cam.
