update on that forecast. we never warm weather setting in. >>erica: good morning, i want to bring up a look at life conditions from mt. tam. a clear but cold start. you can actually see the cameras shaking. it is able to windy and the higher elevations. phil have an instance of a fog in the north bay. visibility is definitely limited. temperatures in the 40's and upper '30's. as we head into the afternoon we have a lot of sunshine and warm conditions. some locations could actually make it into the upper 60s and overnight, partly cloudy conditions with temperatures could get near the freezing mark. we have a limited visibility around the bay area. the orange does indicate slowing down to discuss just visibility down to a half mile. entire structures of high 101 are compromised. that is the only instance of

fog in the bay area. clear skies everywhere else and it temperatures on the cooler side. santa rosa coming in at 39, 37 for those of you in a bottle. a 41 is the common number for fairfield, oakland and concord. future cast 4 critics by noon, three in on this green indicates everyone already into the '60s. how did a pretty warm start to the afternoon. for the afternoon, a lot of locations will make it into the upper 60s, especially in the north bay. that is where we will see normal temperatures. now you could get up to 65 degrees, a degree warmer than that for oakland. even some of our coastal location will make it into low 60s. santa rosa will actually reach 69. there are well above the seasonal average and could actually break some records.

announcer: stanley roberts found some people behaving badly. >>stanley: you are looking at trash that has been dumped inside of the waterway on the san francisco bay. trash left by residents of this homeless encampment located underneath the cesar chavez on ramp near to 80. this area is hostile and dirty, even the rats do not live long. water around the area is so polluted the smell permeates our clothes. the residents for using the water as a public restroom and tossing anything on wanted into the water like these shopping carts in the insulation from copper wires. i had to wear rubber gloves

and cloth gloves just look around the encampment. i tagged along with the safety patrol that has the job of keeping watch on all state properties. they took me on a tour of the homes and encampments. one thing that every encampment had in common was syringes. caps and uncapped. another encampment under the king street on ramp has is no trespassing signs. as you can see, it is ignored.

let's take a look at the 7 day around the bay. to date looks to be one of the warmest days of the week. almost 70 degrees for the beginning of february. not bad. high 60s and sunny for the weekend. punxsutawney phil saw his shadow, so it looks like six more weeks of winter. here is a live look from the golden gate bridge and the bay bridge as a warm-up is on the way. we will be tracking temperatures as well as what is happening on the roads.

it is dry and clear at the approaches to the bay bridge. on the senate tail bridge, the same story there. traffic looks nice and polite. from high above the mt. tam cam, we are shaking a little bit. it looks like it might be a little windy. >> there is a breeze. this is the view from the golden gate showing as relatively clear conditions. this morning, not so bad. cooler temperatures top today's weather headlines. patchy fog in the north bay. off this afternoon, sunny and warm. we are seeing the beginning of a warming trend taking hold beginning today. let's talk about what is happening right now. 43 in oakland, 49 in antioch, 42 in fremont. and this afternoon,

temperatures will look a little bit warmer. between now bottle and highway 37, visibility is down under a half mile. so we could get slightly warmer as the head north. santa rosa could top out at 69 degrees this afternoon. >>george: a great start to the morning ride. we are not addressing any problems, delays or hot spots. the bay bridge is very light with no delays. your ride on 92, the san mateo bridge, your trip across the day, light traffic. 12-13 minutes. the golden gate bridge ride looks good.

if you're heading north in the next minute or two you'll still see crews on the bridge adding a fourth lane southbound. >>mark: investigators are trying to determine what caused an oakland man to be trapped for three hours in a sewage trench in of brentwood. rescue crews are seen they're trying to get him out. the man is in stable condition after being stuck in a sewage trench while doing work in front of a home. he was trapped up to his neck when rescue crews tried to get him out. >> not everything was done by hand to remove the dirt around to the victim in to

let's take a look at what is coming our way. the first item talks about a warming trend beginning. temperatures in the mid- upper 60s. we could see low 70's by the weekend and then, the next chance of rain looks to be maybe late monday night into tuesday. we have future cast 4 set for 8:00 p.m.. we're looking for the possibility of light rain. by 1:00 a.m., heavier stuff.

increase 5% higher this year. >>mark: it is official, facebook filed for their initial public offering. they plan on raising $5 billion. the stock will have the ticker symbol sd. this will be the largest ipo ever. google was only 2 billion. a file paperwork late yesterday. their annual revenue soared from 777 million in 2009 to 3.7 billion in revenue last year. the and menlo park where facebook is based, right now there are only 23 homes for sale. the most extensive listing comes in at $4 million but is less than 5 mi. away from the facebook headquarters.

what caused an oakland man to become trapped for three hours in a sewage trench in the brentwood last night. firefighters tried to get him, they did. the man is now in stable condition. he was stuck in a sewage trench while he was doing work in front of a home on don view drive in brentwood. this 50 year-old was trapped up to his neck, will tran and is in the brentwood this morning and shows us the scene. >>will: here is the scene of the accident, you can see all of the mud that had to be removed, there will not be any work done at this place until investigators arrived to determine exactly what happened in how to prevent such accidents in the future.

investigators should be out here sometime this morning. >>mark: the latest on the occupy oakland movement, police have released new video showing protesters vandalizing city hall. more than 400 people were arrested during last saturday's protest. police are releasing the video in order for the public to help identify the people in the video. the oakland interim police chief is now the target of police chief. the mayor announced yesterday that he is now the city's 47th chief of police. he has been the interim chief twice he is a 23 year veteran of the force.
