news out of open. we are live on the scene with the latest on this story. >>reporter: the shooting happened in broad daylight. this was about two hours ago and it happened at the

intersection of international boulevard and 60 fifth ave. the police are telling us that one man was shot. we did not know the extent of his injuries but we know that is not sounding very good. we are told that the man was shot five to six times in the torso. he was rushed to a nearby hospital at this point. a witness that i talked with that work out here tells me that he saw two men talking outside at the intersection and then all of a sudden he saw and another man arguing and the witnesses they were not arguing they were talking but then all of a sudden the guy pulled out a gun and fired at the other men. the witnesses that he heard 10 to 12 shots. that is all the information that we have it this time. and at this current time is blocked off so the police can gather evidence. if you look you

can see that there are a lot evidence markers. this is where the shell casings were left on the street. i can tell you that this is a pretty violent area. back in august was where karl's novel was shot dead out here by a stray bullet. and two years ago i covered a another homicide right here at the entrance to the mall where a man was shot dead. this is a pretty dangerous area. we will keep monitoring the area and continue to bring you any updates as we get them. >>reporter: we are following in other developing story, this one in the south bay hit and run accident in san jose in look and a police chase and an arrest. the accident happened here. the suspect's car hit the victim's car and that is

>>jacqueline: as we head into tomorrow expect temperatures to one of a couple of degrees of what we saw today. we are still on mild side in places like san francisco, but it is expected to get in the 30's in a number of places overnight. we will take it that we're in the ninth week in afternoons coming up. >>pam: we are following a developing story in oakland. we are live if the scene where the police are investigating a shooting. >>reporter: the shooting happened about 2 1/2 hours ago. one of the many bullets struck the entire right there. a shot actually went into the tire and right now they're trying to retrieve the bullet that went into the tire. they have been trying the for about 30 minutes the so far, no

success. the shooting actually happened right here at the intersection, the intersection of international boulevard and 65th ave. police tell us that one man in shock. let us show the video that we have. the victim was shot five to six times in the torso paramedics rushed him to a nearby hospital. we do not know the motive of the shooting. and then says he saw the gunman and the victim talking at the intersection. he said they were not arguing they were simply talking. he said all of a sudden the suspect pulled out a handgun and fired 10 to 12 times at the victim. let us come back alive right now, that truck that you see right there, that was the truck that was struck with a bullet, by a stray bullet. it was the front driver's side tire that was hit by a stray bullet. a worker was trying

to retrieve the bullet. again there was no success and right now, this is a very active scene. they have blocked off quite a few blocks in this area as they investigate and collect evidence at this crime scene. i continued this is a pretty violent and dangerous intersection. i have called for--i have covered a couple of stories here in the past. carlos the novel was shot here a couple of months ago. and then about a year ago i covered in another story with some of the shot right here at this same location so this is a very violent and dangerous intersection. we will continue to cover this and bring you more once we get it. >>pam: tragedy strikes and lead to a high school after two students were killed this week. these are their

photographs. both attended the same high school listed above. a memorial was held today one was killed on monday of being struck by a car while riding a skateboard. and the high school senior jeremy was killed after being hit by a train in return. they held a memorial for him earlier in the week. his football coach and one of his close friends said he was a special young man. >> he was a great kid a great member of our football team. he really helped us these last two years on the varsity level. i enjoyed sitting with him each and every day at lunch time sitting across from my desk at the student tables in the classroom. >> we were in a call this program together call the young scholars program so i have always known him at the funny and sweet kid but also one that is very serious about his studies. he was an

honor roll student this past semester and he was also a really good football player. so everyone that he knew him on campus in new him as an athlete but someone who was serious about his studies and he was loved by everyone. >>pam: funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. next wednesday her who more news around the bay area at 6:00 p.m., this serial killer joseph naso was back in to a marin county courthouse today. we asked for an extension this is video from an earlier court appearances. 78 year-old man is accused of murdering four women between 1977 and 1994. prosecutors said it is dna was found on the stocks of one victim and under the fingernails of another. the claims that he'll innocent and plans on dropping himself will goes on trout. and now police patrols or beefed up our this weekend. police were checking on the
