take you through the headlines. if you are along the coast, it looks like you will be contending with some light fog. as we head into the next couple hours we have mild temperatures in the upper 40's and low 50's. if you are situated along the bay, it looks like everyone is situated in the upper 40's we have clear conditions for now and then in the inland areas it looks like they're reporting dense fog for the north bay or the east bay in the areas. and the cool weather is there with temperatures almost in the 30's. let us take a look at where the fog is situated around the bay area. it does indicate less than one- quarter mile visibility. we actually see that fog spilling into are in the areas. your ride along interstate 80, you will still out there indicating 1 mi. visibility. we have clear conditions south of the golden gate bridge and no problems along the

peninsula and the coastline, the fog is starting a complete--is starting to creep up alongshore. some of the fog could impact the south bay. and then that fog will actually burn off as we head into the canadian hour. we will see some fog lingering over the water as we focus in on your temperatures like i mentioned, '40's and 50's run out the door, 49 redwood city, 51 for those in our view, and as we head into the afternoon will see that sunshine with a relatively pleasant conditions. in fact everyone making it into the '60s, expect fremont and hayward both to be in the low 60s.

>>erica: good morning thames is more on the topic of tahoe i want to focus in on the forecast. you mentioned there were a couple inches of fresh new snow. as we head into the next couple of days for the most part of looks like you'll see sunshine out there. temperatures in the upper 50s potentially some low 50s and you certainly want to fund a look for the overnight hours at the temperatures could drop back down into the teens. we have a high surf advisories on tap that expires at 3:00 p.m.. with that, everywhere along the coastline it indicates by the pool on your screen we could see swell's between 13 and 16 ft.. this could be up to 50 seconds and breaking waves up to 18 ft.. certainly

the westbound ride looks good in the commute direction for the upper deck of the bay bridge. for drive times are nine minutes out of the macarthur maze. your ride on the san mateo bridge is still pretty light tracking the ride on the golden gate, there are no problems for the ride in from marin county. let's take a look at the traffic maps and pick up the road sensors. 80 westbound still looks good. and 11 minute drive time. the dublin and to change looks good for westbound 580 and southbound 680. south bay freeways are clear. fill a little slowing of the 101 and 880 interchange.

continue to move well 4280 to the west valley and 101 out of the coyote valley. no. the freeways, 101 and 37 look good southbound toward central santer felt with a drive time of just 23 minutes. >>darya: it is a story that you'll only see on kron4, people living illegally inside of the area freeways. stanley roberts gained access with the chp. we also to keep to copper co where thieves are using boats to steal copper. stanley roberts was the only reporter given access to this area says as caltrans crews began a massive cleanup.

>>stanley: the first phase of the cleanup at copper co have begun, but not without a lone holdout. even with a 72 hour notice to vacate, caltrans workers noticed a head of out of one of the holes in the freeway. when the chp check out the whole, they found nothing, so they moved on to another. >> we will send a dog in if you do not come out. >> finally, the man pops out of a third hole. >> i am leaving. >>stanley: during cleanup a few interesting things were found. three bags of unopened, and used syringes. in this tense, two different car batteries and a gentleman with a time first. not a knock off, it is the real deal. the batteries may have come from this man. he leases property from caltrans at this location.

>> they have been stealing everything that they can sell. >>stanley: he told me he loses $1,000 a month due to people stealing his equipment and has only been in business for five months. during the cleanup, these two men arrived, one with a flashlight and the other holding some wire cutters. you may recognize the one with the backpack. here he is in the bowl with the stolen motor. a caltrans cleanup will take a couple of days to complete but during that time the city of san francisco and state officials will be meeting to discuss a plan for action to prevent this from happening again, at least a year. the copper pirates are still here. as long as the tide stays high, they are safe for now.
