>>mark: they give for joining us on this thursday february 16th, the search for more human remains in connection with the speed freak killers is continuing this morning. investigators have reached the bottom of the first well at a property in linden. wesley shermantine, one of the killers, provided the location to authorities. investigators have found about 1000 bone fragments in now well along.

what is next? >> our plans are to send a camera down there, we want to make absolutely sure before we reseal the well. we pulled everything out. there was the debris, washing machines, the pieces of concrete, we brought all of that up. once we got past that, we started getting to the human remains. now, we are below that. >>mark: investigators also searched a second well as they continue to follow leads provided by shermantine. >>darya: officials are saying it the way this scene is being processed is destroying critical evidence. forensic experts say instead of creating a large hit using a back hoe, they say they should have made smaller teams of a forensic

archaeologists examined as well before any large invasive machinery was brought in. experts always also say if bones were discovered the equipment should be immediately turned off and parked far away and that pedestrian walkovers should be cut down to protect the ground underneath. they also seek women to protect evidence should be brought in so that it is not completely exposed. we ask authorities about their methods and here is what they said. >> bones are not getting crushed. we are digging them up and bring them to the surface. third we are handed sifting through these. >>darya: again, the search continues today in linden. stay with kron4 for our continuing coverage of the speed freak killers.

that they have to shut down. nonetheless, you have bart at your disposal. we spoke with the assistant general manager, here is what he had to say >> the big issue is tuesday morning. because we opened so early, at 4:00 a.m., we run shorter trains in the early morning and then a maximum length during the morning rush hour. tuesday morning we will come out of the box at 4:00 a.m. with maximum length train and we will have some extra capacity if need be. >>will: basically longer trains, more service and more security. if your or your car at a bart station at 3:00 a.m. they plan to have offices there as well as on the trains to make sure that you are safe.

the man says he was on a suicide mission for al- qaeda. >>mark: a new report revealed there is enough trash in san francisco bay to fill 1000 garbage bags. this is the first comprehensive study on the amount of trash going into the bay. san jose and oakland are the worst offenders. state regulators are ordering cities and counties to reduce trash by 40 percent by 2014 or face fines. >>darya: we want to get a look at traffic. are there any hot spots. >>george: accidents southbound of the 880 and alameda are now being determined as a fatal crash. that means the lanes are going to be closed for a while. we have to wait for the coroner to arrive on scene.

an axa investigation will be conducted. southbound 880, that is the non commute side. the concern is for the northbound traffic. here is a live look at the accident scene. you can see how the cars are spun around. again, the traffic lanes closest to us are in the northbound direction. here is the location of the accident. northbound traffic has not begun to back up yet. if this stays out there for as long as two hours which is how long the chp has requested, we could be looking at a major traffic jam that could affect not wholly edt northbound, it could also affect traffic here at the 280 interchange and could have an impact at the 101 880 interchange as well.
