is moving through with no issues. these cars are all going to have to move once the president gets here, before the president gets here. there are signs up and down the streets. many people are frustrated about having to move their vehicles. we will have more on the president's visit coming up tonight. >>pam: investigators at the bottom of a mass grave in san joaquin county are looking for more victims of the speed freak killers. the two men's are suspected in more than 20 murders and convicted in four murders. crews have already uncovered more than 4000 bone fragments. serial killer wesley shermantine led police to the gravesite with a hand drawn math. it is one of several locations offered to police and the police have already identified the remains of

two of the female victims buried on the property. j.r stone has more. and >>j.r.: you can see the area just outside of linden, still close to the public. i'd just as it is -- i spoke with the sheriff's office. they say there is still much work that has to be done before they begin searching for the second abandoned well. in these shots, you can see the heavy machinery moving some of the dirt and debris. i spoke with an officer with the san joaquin sheriff's office. crews sent a camera down into an abandoned well this morning, but they need an expert to look at that. they would also like another department of justice camera to be sent down there as well. the next step involves

>>pam: if you are waiting for a tax refund, there is a chance that the refund could be delayed. many taxpayers will have to wait about a week longer. kiberlee sakamoto is here to tell us why a computer glitch may be to blame. >>kimberlee: the irs is having problems with a part of its web site that allows you to track the status call tax refunds. normally go to this web site and put in information like your social security number, filing status and refund's amount and it would give you an estimated date as to when your refund arrives. the site was down for a few hours yesterday. it appears as though there were technical glitches relating to this system they are using. although you can see it is back up, many customers who are using the where is my refund to all are being told that there is no information, making it appear as though they have not filed at all. the irs posted a statement on its web site apologizing for the inconvenience citing

it was a temporary situation. it also stressed that if a taxpayer filed and received an acknowledgement message that the return has been received for making be assured that the irs does have their return even know the where's my refund will does not reflect that. not all refunds will be delayed. the irs says they expect the vast majority of them to continue to be issued within the usual time range of 10- 21 days. they are asking that taxpayers do not call about the problem unless specifically directed to by the web site. we will be back after this quick break.

bay area home sales. last month was the best january in the last five years. for those looking to sell a home, sales were up 10 percent compared to january of last year. alameda in san details of the biggest increases. s. telling me the sales were up 24% in december retail sales were up almost 18. fewer people are trying to get unemployment benefits. unemployment applications are the lowest they have been since 2008. the national unemployment rate now stands at 8.3%. u.s. wine exports hit an all-time high in 2011 thanks in part to higher demand in asia. the wine institute of san francisco says that wine exports sent a one. -- set a $1.4 billion record. meanwhile, california wineries are finding success marketing a high and cabernet and chardonnay to a new generation of upscale consumers in china.

me, deputies if still have the site on lockdown. the sheriff's office began shifting the focus from this site to the next site they plan on searching. >> what i am told is that the excavator is still cleaning out the surrounding areas, they're cleaning up the well itself to prepare for the camera to go down and capture video footage of inside the well itself. we'll also bring saddam for dogs to the location to make sure there are no additional remains that could be in the piles of debris. we will bring in the dogs so that they might be able to help us to pinpoint areas we need to focus on and then, we will reevaluate what we

waiting and watching can be extremely painful. >> the will never heal. >>terisa: he knows all too well the suffering family members whose loved ones may be found in a mass grave in linden maybe going to. his daughter seen in this video disappeared one fall day without a trace. it was in 1993 when her body was found, two months later. during her disappearance he says the was was overwhelming. >> i was not eating or sleeping. you have a very serious conversations with god, we believe in god or not, why my child? why me? how did this happen? >>terisa: >> in his office, the pictures of his daughter surrounds them. he adds, despite the pain of the families are going through as video of the dig is broadcast, he sulks that some resolution may help them. >> we have to show compassion for these families.

we settle victims into the bottom drawers of society and these people have done nothing more than be at the wrong place at the wrong time and then had to suffer their entire lives. we need to keep them in our thoughts and prayers as this horrible incident unfolds and we find out exactly who these victims were. >>pam: wesley shermantine and herman -- german herzog started a killing spree when ronald reagan was in the white house. over the years they have provided dates in the locations as they have tried to blame each other for the murders. in june of 1984, the two killers graduated together from high school in the town of linden, east of stockton. in september, the two were driving near the town of hope valley in the sierra what they found a 41 year- old santa clara resident

says sleep in his truck. herzog later says shermantine killed him with a shotgun. in november, they robbed and murdered two drifters near stockton. the next year they picked up a 24 year-old at a park in stockton and drove her to linden were herzog says shermantine raped and murdered her. weeks later sell seven wheeler went missing from stockton, sandy vander hyde disappeared in 1988 after last being seen with shermantine and herzog. in 1999, shermantine and herzog were arrested after dna evidence link to them to two killings. their trials are moved to santa clara because of the negative publicity. shermantine is convicted of fourth degree murders in february of 2001. the two drifters and the two women. in october, herzog was convicted of three murders and as a necessity in the death of a vendor-.
