>>mark: caltrans reopen debate bridge last night after shutting it down on friday night. here was the scene as the first cars made their way through at 7:14 p.m.. caltrans crews did a lot of trading in utility work related to the construction of the new eastern span. the drivers passing through the toll plaza are asked to drive carefully. the movement in the lanes allows caltrans to begin demolition of a small section of the old lanes. that will facilitate where the new bay bridge is going to hit the land and to make

its way to the toll plaza. >>darya: yoli eceves is live this morning, zoomed in on the spot market was talking about. >>yoli: it seems like drivers are negotiating these curves quite well. it almost looks like you have pretty much a straightaway that gently goes into the curve and into the incline. will tran anh said it is so smooth. it is almost tempted to go a little faster than usual. that is something for drivers to keep in mind. stay on the speed limit. once you get on to the eastern span you do have to negotiate the s curves straight ahead. >>darya: it is a good thing

that they finished this early. it rated pretty good last night. >>george: that is one thing that caltrans credited, the dry weather. that is one thing that helped them stay so far ahead of schedule. great relief for the people in marin county would normally be using the golden gate. saturday was a nightmare commute. there were reports of two hours waiting just to get on to the bridge. all of that is done for the weekend and in time for the coming home commute tonight which is likely to be heavy both through marin stand on the east shore freeway. right now we are not tracking any hot spots or delays. it is holiday light traffic around the bay area. this is a look at the bay bridge toll plaza. and there are no delays

either east or west found. the golden gate is not even set up for a normal commute. >>mark: another developing story we're watching out of the east bay, a robbery suspect remains at large and another injured. it happened around 11:30 p.m. in east oakland around the 2000 block of the 67th ave. here is exactly where it happened on the maps. an armed robbery in the area just before the shooting. in responding officer encountered to suspect. shortly after that one of the suspect was shot dead injured. the suspect was armed with a firearm but did not shoot at officers. the suspect's injuries are not life-threatening and no officers were hurt. >>darya: a search is underway on the waters near

the set -- richmond center fell bridge. the coast guard received a mayday call just before 11:00 p.m. reporting that a boat collided with a person in the water. the search is being conducted by the coast guard and several police agencies. there are the thing for someone in the water near the richmond san rafael bridge. the crews are unable to locate anyone so far. >>mark: to pilates are suffering from minor injuries after a collision between an airplane and helicopter.

>>erica: we are seeing some remaining drizzle. the bulk of the wet weather hit us overnight. you could encounter some day of roadways on the james lick but as i walked into the weather headlines, it looks like any showers we see will be residual in nature. the big story is the temperatures, mostly mild with those locations in the upper '40's. as we head into the afternoon we will see temperatures cooler than the seasonal average. most locations in the upper 50s in the low 60s and overnight mostly clear conditions would temperatures back into the '30's and '40's. here is a look at storm tracker 4. nothing affecting the bay area. nothing popping up on our radar. everything is well to the north meeting we could see a potential for a pop up shower here and there, but temperatures for the most

nice. there are new lane markings, i also see new barriers, railings and caltrans officials say the curve you are looking at here is posted the just learned that it was before. it does look like a very easy curve. very smooth. now that i am on it, i can tell you i do agree, it is a very gentle curve, it's very easy curve. overall, no major problems. >>darya: in other developing story, oakland police are searching for a driver connected to an officer involved shooting that said one passenger to possible. the shooting happened at 62nd ave. it was about a quarter of a

mile from international boulevard in the 2000 block of 67 avenue. will tran is following this story this morning and fix it up from there. >>will: here is where the shooting took place. an officer pulls over a car he believes is connected to a robbery. a passenger takes off out of the car company officer chased the passenger ended during backers said he noticed the suspect had a gun. the officer fired at the suspect into the suspect is currently in the hospital. as this is happening the driver managed to flee for the scene. at this point we do not have a description of the driver. >>mark: sky is beginning to brightness, a cloudy with a few showers.

there are no hot spots to track in the light traffic. here is a look at the new portion of the roadway on the bay bridge westbound. this was the old route up in this direction. the traffic sweet skill little farther to the left as you head for the metering lights to get on to the upper deck westbound. there are no backups or delays. there are no delays either eastbound were westbound. the golden gate bridge ride is also a good ride. light enough that there are only three lanes available southbound.
