it is already relatively warm start to the morning. temperatures will skyrocket as we head into the afternoon. here's a look at the upper 20s. not only are we expecting mostly seventies around the bay area but we have a lot of sunshine with very few clouds out there. today will be the last really warm day around the bay area. it is expected to dip to 73 degrees, 75 over in san jose. as we turn our attention to the north bay, check out santa rosa, they could reach 77 degrees as the head into the afternoon. so the future forecast does predict not only do we have warm temperatures we have some gusty wind. and by 5:00, we have a high wind advisory already in effect. the wind gust could get up to 27 miles per hour. as we head

into the rest of the morning, it looks like the conditions will only increase. fairfield get up to 31 mi. per hour wind speeds. we will continue to hold on to these gusty conditions through the afternoon. your seven day around the forecast shows mostly sunny conditions as we head into the weekend. temperatures really will drop off check out thursday and then compare this to saturday. we will continue to see partly cloudy conditions in to the start of the next work week. there is a slight potential for what weather on tuesday heading into wednesday. gear is a live your weather in the traffic center, no hot spots. here at the approach to the bay bridge toll plaza we have a small weight in one of the cash lands, but traffic is moving well. if you are heading over to the

really warm across the bay area today. >>erica: good morning justine, we actually broke some record yesterday and around the bay area. as we take a live look at the james lick freeway we have clear conditions and looking forward to a nice warm and sunny day around the bay area. that is walking through the weather headlines. we have some windy spots, a high wind advisories in effect by the national weather service. as we head into the afternoon it will certainly feel like summer. your forecast temperatures are between 69 and 77 degrees believe or not. tonight we will see mostly to their conditions with temperatures are back down into the '40's. today is all about the numbers. a show you this right outside the door. right now we have a good mixture of 40 than fifties. santa rosa is coming in at 53 degrees, 55 for those in the bottle, we have upper 50s along the delta, 51 for downtown san

francisco, 45 for those in los gatos. as we take it that your average temperatures of for this time in february, it looks like for the most part most locations are set in the north 60--in the low 60s. livermore expect between 12 degrees warmer. it really does not matter where you are located around the bay area, you are really in for a warming trend. so, along with the warm temperatures we have strong wind around the bay area although conditions will be mostly sunny. san jose is checking in at 75 degrees. it looks like santa rosa could see the warmer spot around the bay area coming in at 77 degrees. one degree cooler and napa and 71 expected for downtown san francisco. i did mention we have gusty winds on tap for today the

wind advisories in effect from now stretching into 6:00 p.m. later this evening. the wind is averaging between 20 and 30 mi. per hour. the wind gusts could get up to the '50s. we will see the strongest wind in the north and east bay hills. down trees and power lines are certainly a possibility. warm conditions are expected for today. as we head into the next couple of days it looks like the temperatures will begin to trail off. today we are expected to get up to 77 degrees. as we head into the weekend by saturday will be a bit cooler. we have upper 50s candlestick expected for walnut creek in san jose. now let us take a look at your seven day around the bay forecast. >>justine: we will do a quick bridge check for everyone the bay bridge, not a lot out there right now. we will also check out your

>>reporter: this letter was sent home to parents warning them of it possible virus outbreak. school officials believe that this outbreak was contained to one classroom but gave the entire school a good cleaning. in the last few months, 28 schools in the county have reported potential cases of the virus. the county health department says that 20 long-term care facilities has also reported outbreaks. the martinez veteran affairs center had to be quarantined for more than one week after the potential virus outbreak. health experts warn people to wash their hands with soap and water often. do not prepare people's food if you're not feeling well. they also say that a big myth is that the flu shot will protect against the virus and they say that is not true. >>james: let us get down to the south bay here. we have a live shot. craig is

government wants to soften the impact of all these fees. >>reporter: balancing your checkbook can be boring or time consuming but anyone that has bounced a check or put too much money on your day car knows that it's worth it. banks over a draft fees save customers the embarrassment but is saving that were 30 to $35 each time? that is how much the consumer financial protection bureau said the overdraft penalties cost. now the agency said it will investigate the impact of the fees. it also listens to public input about how banks can make this easier for the customers to see and recognize information about their accounts and overdraft policies. they say part of the problem is that banks often clear the large purchases first. that often means that consumers to not have enough in their accounts to cover the big some, and each small purchase afterwards will incur a separate fee. a 2008

sunny conditions however it will be windy in the north and east bay hills. the national weather service has issued a high wind advisory. check out some of the temperatures, san jose could reach 75 degrees, 74 expected for morgan hill and the same goes for fremont this afternoon. up into the north bay, it looks like santa rosa could be the warmest on the map. it looks like san raphael in downtown san francisco could see some low '70s, yes this is in february, we have 69 degrees expected in richmond this afternoon. and a look at conditions in the tahoe area. no change pearly required. if you're headed that way we will see partly cloudy skies. as we head into friday the men back our streets and into saturday there is a chance for snow showers so certainly be aware that. your seven day around the forecast shows sunshine as we wrap up the work week. temperatures will slide down as we head into the weekend. we have mostly mild conditions in a mixture

>>erica: we are well above the seasonal average. most locations are between 10 degrees and 12 degrees warmer compared to what we're used to. this morning, mostly clear conditions in the windy. as we head into the afternoon it will feel like summer in february. highs are forecast between 69 and 77. mostly clear conditions with temperatures in the '40's. today it is all about the numbers. widespread '50s and '60s among the delta. future test shows by 9:00 a.m. the light blue indicates upper 50s for a good portion of the bay area. the green indicates 60s for places like napa, vallejo, antioch and concord. as we head into the afternoon you will want to head outdoors. we will continue to see '60s there almost of the bay in
