>>maureen: the three arrests today are just the beginning, investigators say more arrests could be on the way. what >>catherine: in just 12 hours there were five shootings in oakland. one of the injured was a student. the first one happened last night. people were shooting at a car that was driving down international boulevard. five no one was hurt in that particular shooting. a second shooting also happened last night on davis street. a man was critically injured in that particular shooting. earlier this morning at about 4:00 a.m. another person was injured in a shooting on avalon street. few hours later on market street, two people shot each other. one suspect was found at the scene in to take into the hospital. the other person was found lying in the street a short time later. one of the victims was just 18 years old, a senior at berkeley high school. at about 8:00 p.m. there was a fifth shooting also on

adeline street, a person was found shot and injured in their car. the body of a 78 year-old man found in his oakland hills home appears to have been there for days according to police. they say they are not ruling out foul play. the man has been identified as joseph robertson. his cousin says he does not know why anyone would hurt him. >> many of us have an enemy, many of us, you can look around and say maybe, but i cannot think of anyone would want to hurt him. my only thought is, he did not deserve anything that happened to him if it turns out to be what it looks like. >>catherine: a friend of the family discovered the body around 8:00 a.m. but it is not clear how he died. >>pam: dan kerman spoke with the least about whether the shootings indicate their crime strategy is not working. >>dan: with a handful of
