>>darya: we are tracking a storm rolling through the bay area. the wind was howling overnight. this morning we have seen a storm shift. james fletcher is tracking where the rain is moving out and where it is hardest to drive. >>james: at the moment it is in the south peninsula. you can see where the colors are the most impressive. into the south bay, palo alto and fremont are seeing a moderate-heavy rain. near hayward, as the transition of of 880, the

san mateo bridge has heavy rain falling. the entire band of what weather is all headed toward san jose. in the east bay, we still have rain falling between walnut creek, dublin and pleasanton. the delta have some rain earlier, it looks like antioch is still dealing with a light rain. the south peninsula was what from paul of the south. from san francisco to redwood city we are looking okay and along the

coastline, half moon bay and all points along highway 11 into the santa cruz mountains are seeing light in at times heavy rain. that is the way the weather is looking right now. in my next update we will talk about the rest of the week ended the week and. the wet weather is causing problems from drivers, let's get the latest of a situation from george in the traffic center. >>george: we are looking at what could become our first hot spot of the morning. on the nimitz northbound at 23rd, a big rig is involved in this crash in some lanes are blocked, possibly several. even with light traffic, this could be enough to start backing things up pretty badly. we are still watching chp reports coming in. we know there are at least

two lanes blocked on the nimitz northbound. on the bay bridge, a wind advisory is in effect. credit conditions as far as congestion is concerned. there is no backup of the approach of the toll plaza although the metering lights should be activated in the next 10-15 minutes. >>darya: since most people take the bay bridge, let's take a live look of yoli aceves to see how it is being affected by the wind and rain. >>yoli: we are getting a bit of a break from the rain right now. the wind is still pretty strong and i believe the advisory is still on for the bay bridge. it still seems to be whipping up quite a bit but at least no rain for now which is a good thing. there is some puddling between the toll plaza and metering lights.

airtran was between san leandro and oakland. bulk of the wet weather, the most intense of it is down in the south bay. right now, just north of sunnyvale, moderate rainfall in it is all over

san jose and surrounding communities. south san jose is also seen a bit of wet weather, intense at times. rainfall is anywhere from a quarter of an inch per hour to a half an inch in some of the most intense spots. every now and then you hit a wall of what weather as you're driving around. that will slowly exit the area by about 9:00 a.m.. we will be in a scattered showers forecast for the remainder of the day. by noon, more instability into the north bay. by 3:00 p.m. we will still be dealing with pop up scattered showers by 6:00 p.m. the drive home, hit or miss showers. we will be in a mostly cloudy forecast. the sun break may help intensify the showers. depending on where you are you may or may not for get
