is live from marina green in san francisco with an update. >>j.r.: one of the reasons i am so far from the camera, i am 34 ft. from the camera. we are talking about grey whales. they can actually grow to 52 ft.. they are they the mammals that is one of the reasons why the coast guard has given so helen mornings. the mammals are in the day and have been here all week long. here is video that we shot earlier this afternoon. it is the migration season. they are migrating from mexico all the way to alaska. all week long they have been spotted in the bay area. keep in mind, boaters are not allowed to get within 50 yds of these mammals.
