we will move the camera over here. cars in the parking lot and belongs to some of the deceased victims as well as those who managed to get out safely. they are not letting anyone in. here is the reason why. here is video we got from yesterday. we expect more investigators to show up throughout the day and wearing the suits and haz-mat suits and though don't contaminate evidence. this is a big scene. we told you for days, the shooter went through here systematically shooting people. there are lots of areas they have to look through. and take the shells out of the walls and maybe do some measurements and that's why for now, this place will be shut down indefinitely. we don't know when the police officers will be out here as far as the crime scene unit. but we expect them to show up probably at the crack of down, there is so much to process and according to the one of the police officers on guard.

today, jackie? >> reporter: east of the oakland airport and all day and deep into the night, they were searching for the 45 caliber that he threw into the estuary. here are the videos of the searchers. we have a dozen or so dive team volunteers from the alameda sheriff's department going methodically into the water looking for the weapon. san francisco police department sent over some apparatus to help in the search. obviously, it is something the detectives in the case desperately want to find. we talked to j d nelson, the spokes person from the alameda sheriff's department and he talked about the search. >> finding any object in the water is difficult. and it is pretty small. we have a wide area that we are

searching. and we have divided him into three sections and what you don't want to do is find it and have to refined it. and mark it off. >> and call oakland in and see what they want to do about the evidence collection. >> why the estuary, apparently the suspect in the case is cooperating with the police at least in this part of the investigation and that is what sent them out to the waters in the oakland airport yesterday. >> okay. >> then they will wait until the first light to get out there. >> they went out deep into the night. the dark or light is not an issue. >> we haven't seen the searcher he is out here. we are waiting to hear back from egg oakland or alameda

sheriff's. >> reporter: in oakland, hundreds of mourners turned out in the tell tell baptist church to remember the seven victims of monday's shooting. after the ceremony, small group of students and teachers and administrator from oikos university gathered to console each other. they were grief stricken and not speak to the media. we did speak to one teacher that said one of her classes was moved and that is the reason why her life was saved. she was supposed to be in the classroom that morning. they showed up with flowers and posters. >> and. stay with kron 4 for the continuing coverage of the school massacre and get the

details. we will have a closer look at the shooting suspect. dallas is flattened by multiple twisters. we have the video showing us what the national weather service is estimating anywhere between six to 13 tornadoes have done to the area. this is mostly in northern texas. amazingly. no gusts have been reported. they plan to search the area today and we can see from the aerial pictures, the damage. what i love from the live pictures that we are looking at now. if he we can look down into the houses, roofs are ripped off and look at the closets. clothes haven't moved an inch. there are dressers and night stands and we can see night stands whipped off the post. we are monitoring the pictures to bring you the latest information coming out of texas as we follow the damage from

. before we get to our weather we will show you what they are doing in texas. the tornadoes caused millions of dollars in damage and closing the airport. there are still 500 flight that are canceled. did you see that. did you see that flying? that was a entire semi trailer. you know how giant they are. through the air. >> floating through the air. you know how massive those semi trucks are and that's the trailer. there is a better look at the damage. you can see the trailer trucks and twisted and thrown all over the place. they were flying through the air. it is amazing we have no reports of serious injuries or deaths from all of these tornadoes. obviously, there is power out. 600 homes damaged. a lot of people left homeless because of this. at the height of the storm. at dallas figure airport they have all the passengers grounded and they had to move

into shelters and wait it out. huge hail coming down and lightning. and as i said this morning. there are hundreds of flights that are still grounded and lots of damaged planes. >> we are watching the national weather and local forecast. >> we will start on the wide view. severe weather is down in the south. it is out near louisiana now. that's the center that was centered over texas yesterday. it is now moved to the east. we will push in here and get a close are look. severe weather. lots of thunderstorm activity going on at the moment. now it terms of watches and warnings. there are no warnings currently in place right now. what we are seeing are a lot of flash flood warnings, you see the area in light green and dark green. they are expecting the most severe cases of rising water. rushing water through the rivers and it goes through the area. they are watching for that and concern about that. no tornado threat yet. down in the part of the

weather to the north. rain/snow mcing. we had some out at lake tahoe. there is not much going on at the moment. we did have snow coming down. as a matter of fact we are looking for total accumulation coming down as a result of the storm. results will be out there. letting us know, there is still the chance of a sprinkle or snow mix. and then friday conditions improve quite a bit. and temperatures begin to warm back up for the highs and this weekend coming up for saturday, sunday. and heading up to tahoe. it is a great time to go skiing and we will have over the course of the last seven days. new snow for you to enjoy. we will have the sierra ski report coming up in the 7:00 hour. >> we will talk now about the resorts and what they are seeing up there. >> we will take a look now. 85 and 89 at 28. you can see it is clear and looks pretty cold out there.

resorts are wrapping up one of the most unusual and unexpected snow seasons. they have double-digit declines with a bounty of snow that didn't start snowing until the end of february. james is saying. it is nice to ski now but took awhile to get going. >> in squaw valley. they said it is one of the strangest seasons they have had. >> it is. waiting for the opening bell on wall street. big drop. down futures are down over 100 points right now.

clean up. and yahoo is laying off 200 employees as they sweep out jobs that don't fit into his plan for turning around the internet company. it represents 14% of the 14,000 workers for yahoo. we will get more in the forecast with james fletcher. this is the san mateo bridge camera. the incline section in the back left of the view there. so far, he so good. it is a little cool and for the most part we are doing all right. this is a quick check of the daily planner. clear, cool. we have a couple of spots that dropped down to the upper 30s. afternoon hours. breezy. cooler than yesterday. mainly upper 50s and well inland getting up to 60 degrees. not much warmer than that. we will keep it breezy and clear as well. temperatures dropping back down into the 40s. we do have a great weekend

and held without bail on suspicion of murder, attempted murder, kidnapping and carjacking. alameda district attorney said he had a dispute about the tuition where he was kicked out. they search for the weapon that is used in the attack at the oikos university. we have a look at the suspect in the shooting. one goh, he will be arraigned. and he will be held on kidnapping. suspicion of attempted murder and carjacking. >> will? >> reporter: mark, this is considered a crime scene. that's why you see yellow tape behind me. there is a small make slit memorial that continues to grow and family and friends having access to the place. and they have established that. i do expect that to grow. crime scene technicians. if he they follow the pattern yesterday. they should be back out here.

lydia sim, from hi ward. judith seymour. 53. lives in san jose. and doris chubuko lived in san leandro. >> we will go to one of the solo reporters. >> jackie sissel is out there. >> reporter: i am east of the airport and dawn is breaking over the estuary. we are expecting to see searchers out here looking for the weapon that the suspect allegedly used. and threw into the estuary after the shootings. now the teams from the alameda sheriff's department is out here methodically going in and looking and searching for the weapon. they say the suspect has been cooperating at least in this aspect of the investigation. so they believe this is where the weapon is.

they also had help from the san francisco police department. they sent out a boat with sonar equipment. and the expectation, mark, is that crews will be back out today. it is a very important piece of evidence that the oakland police department wants to retrieve. it is like finding a needle in a haystack. they have a guide idea of where to certainly. hopefully, as soon as we get information from the police department and the sheriff's department and when and where they will start the search, we will pass it along. >> this is where he told the police he threw the gun. >> yes, it is kind of, the oakland estuary just east of the oakland airport. but if you pan over here to the right. that is over there. and where the university shooting happened. all he had to do was go out to university and back out to hegenberger and that is where it is at. we are a mile away from the shooting scene itself. apparently, that is what the

. following the latest out of texas. they are trying to figure out how many tornadoes touched down in the region yesterday. this is into the newsroom and showing us the destruction. the house just ripped apart. it is nothing but wood right now. it is estimating some 650 homes were destroyed in one of the hardest hit areas. they are going through the debris today and go back to the area to see what is left of the

houses. these are live pictures from one of the hardest hit areas. this is lancaster, texas. and people are now standing outside of the house. trying to figure out if there is anything left to save s that's what we are watching -- anything left to safe. that's what we are watching right now. >> we have more video coming into kron 4. this is forney, texas. it funnels down and hits the ground. now we are learning there are 15 people injured and two injuries that are severe. look at this monster funnel here. this was about, and this is in the african-american area. forney, also. and arlington got hit hard --

the arlington area. and they had a hundred aircraft damaged by the hail. also, there were 400 departing flights canceled. and another incoming flights diverted and american airlines had to ground all the flights. there are up to four, 500 flights still effected and not running this morning. >> james fletcher watching the local weather. and more storms are expected far east today. here is the national map. look at all the areas in orange, red, yellow. that indicates moderate to heavy and severe. and that has triggered several watches and warnings. as a matter of fact for portions right around louisiana. this is the brighter green. we have a flood warning there and in the darker green there, there are flash flood watch. >> high water is a big concern for them as they continue to go through. this expires wednesday. and i noticed a couple of other

ones didn't expire until saturday. so they are looking for the wet weather and potential to stay with them at least for the next few days. that's what we are seeing in terms of the national weather. we bring it againful and talk about california. we are dealing with wet weather of our own. we had our little drizzle overnight. still to the north. over tahoe and we are doing okay. here is what we see playing out for the rest of the morning. cooler start. we have clear conditions. and in the low to mid-40s for most of the bay. sunny skies this afternoon. you should expect a mix of upper 50s and few 60s. here and there. and keep it breezy and try. here is where temperature should go. >> upper 50s to low 60s and around the bay. warmer as you head issue land. and -- inland. and up to the north. santa rosa, that's are the likely spots to see 60 degrees
