path's >>darya: this is the intersection moving to and from the golden gate bridge. it is a brand new, newly

configured with new lights and a new tunnel. it all just opened this morning after the approach from san francisco was closed all weekend. we will have more on that. our breaking news story and traffic, a 680 development through pleasanton after a big rig shutdown blaine's cents last night. will tran is there. what do we have opened on 680 at this point? >>will: very good news to pass along. i can't tell you that if you are headed southbound on 680 should have no problems getting through this area. about five minutes ago they managed to reopen all three lanes. traffic is moving along just fine. as far as the northbound 680 it is shut down as far as to lanes.

they did reopen one lane about 10 minutes ago but it is slow going to this area. the accident happened at 10:00 p.m. last night the drivers: south go 680, loss control and plowed through the center median damaging 10 cars and injuring one woman. it appears the woman was cut in the head by the flying concrete.

>>darya: those cars are gone now? >>will: yes. this driver was carrying hazardous materials. they brought out a hazardous materials team. they looked at the materials, it is just fine. it is now gone from the scene. there are making great progress and guesstimating and about 90 minutes from now they have been ahead of schedule.

>>george: on 680, all of the lanes are open southbound. the back of did not free to the 680 interchange but it did reach up to stone ridge. northbound traffic is already backed up to 680 to signal to the highway 84 turnoff. a highway 84 is already heavy carrying traffic. i do think until they managed to finish clearing the northbound lanes, it is going to impact the southbound direction. we may see the back of clear up fairly quickly but i believe in the next hour or so we will have a backup. there really are no

alternate routes or good ways to get around the problem. it runs at saturation level every morning. you're only other option is to drive through the dublin and to change it hit the nimitz freeway in the southbound direction. there are no good alternates to the southbound 680 corridor. around the rest of the bay area there are no other problems to report. let's get a look at the weather with james fletcher.

highway 101 has reopened from the golden gate. here is a look at the golden gate bridge, there are no backups yet although we could see slow traffic this morning from south of the toll plaza. the bay bridge ride has been pretty, all morning long.
