in pleasanton. it's big rig accident occurred yesterday in the 9:00 hour. a vehicle carrying hazardous materials. a sig alert has been issued. looks like lanes are blocked northbound right at sunol. pocked missy's the endeavor to to crews are on the scene. if you are coming out of the central valley using westbound 580 you'll probably want to cut overusing 84 instead. asked the yellow on the screen and the kids speeds averaging 35 mi. per hour. we just spoke with the chp, a couple southbound lanes could reopen in the next half-hour costs we will be monitoring this accident.

we do have an accident on southbound 101 approaching south san francisco blocking the two lanes. those are minor injury accidents, potential slowdowns that i am monitoring as hot spots as well. as we transition over to the weather center we're taking a live look at the golden gate.

this is a sig alert as a big rig carrying hazardous materials overturned after crossing several lanes of traffic and hit a concrete median. that sent concrete flying into other lanes. right now, the crews are trying to pick up that big rig and trying to open at lanes of traffic. will tran and is on the phone with us right now. we heard that the big rig still 150 gal. of diesel fuel on the road. >> i am still in the lane next to the big rig. the chp plans to open to out of the three lanes in the southbound direction on 680 at any moment. that is where the big rig is located. scott as far as the

they did reopen one lane about 10 minutes ago but it is slow going to this area. the accident happened at 10:00 p.m. last night the drivers: south go 680, loss control and plowed through the center median damaging 10 cars and injuring one woman. it appears the woman was cut in the head by the flying concrete.

in >>george: traffic is backing up in both directions of interstate 680, even with all lanes open southbound, traffic had backed up to stone ridge. it is taking time for that to unwind and of course, there is the visual hazard of all that activity on the opposite side of the roadway. it is also slowing this northbound right as he tried to get up from highway 84. your alternates are to use highway 84. the other option is to continue westbound on 580 towards 880. traffic has not yet back to the dublin and to change.

highway 101 has reopened from the golden gate. here is a look at the golden gate bridge, there are no backups yet although we could see slow traffic this morning from south of the toll plaza. the bay bridge ride has been pretty, all morning long.
