effectively endorses a marriage and its effect as you see it on the black community. >> it is interesting. what i have been speaking with people about is a sense of, people are very supportive of the president in 2008 and still want to be supportive of the president in 2012 but of course, there is a large very religious contingent among african- americans and i think people are very split between religious elites and wanting to support this historic presidency. we still have a long time to see what will happen in 2012 and will wash out in november. the president really put himself on the line in making that declaration. we will have to wait and see what happens.

tens of thousands of jobless californians will have unemployment benefits cut off. that is because eight states no longer qualify for the extended benefits program. grant lodes explains why this is happening. the core >>grant: starting on saturday, 93,000 people in california will stop getting unemployment benefits. it is because the unemployment rate in california has dropped to 11%. that drop is triggering a federal cost of of long-term unemployment benefits. some people have received on a plymouth checks for up to 99 weeks. now, state and federal jobless benefits will last only 79 weeks. california is not the only state impacted. colorado, texas, illinois, pennsylvania, connecticut, n.c. in the florida law will also cut off the long-term unemployed. nationwide, more than 200,000 people losing benefits, but almost half of those 200,000 live right
