are working on making this a safer, stronger in the event of an earthquake. drivers are revised to go north towards the san mateo or south to the 37. more with kate thompson. >>kate: mass of the equipment and 100 workers will be working around the clock for nearly four days on the town barton. this is being closed so they can improve safety during an earthquake. >> this seismic joint will be replaced with a larger one with a 37 in. area of expansion in the event of an earthquake working crews joined as much demolition as possible before this closure. here is a close-up
