>>erica: we are contending with a sig alert in the north bay. highway 101 northbound around central san rafael, all lanes are currently blocks. >>darya: did you see the golden gate bridge last night? what a sight. thousands watched as the bridge celebrated 75 years. three days of anniversary celebrations ending with a 20 minute long fireworks display. this van was closed for two hours so that everything could be set up it of the fireworks set off right over the bridge.

crowds into a all sorts of festivities over the weekend. this was all across the field and marina green. more than 2 billion vehicles have across the bridge. >> everything is pretty tidy and organized. clean-up workers were here until 1:00 a.m.. they did a wonderful job. there's not one speck of trash on the ground.

they plan to make it into a museum. the uss nimitz sailed into the bay yesterday. >>jackie: what a view. he conceded carrier anchorage in the bay this morning. 3000 crewmembers rolled in yesterday along with family and friends down from ever washington on may tiger crews. they rolled into celebrate the 75 year of the golden gate bridge.

the speculation that high- ranking priests could soon be named. >>mark: in northern california firefighter, his wife and daughter are now in stable condition after being rescued from this plane crash in the snow-covered mountains line in the iowa. the husband, wife and daughter rescue from a remote area in southwestern idaho yesterday. snow prevented their risky saturday evening after the crash, there were arrested yesterday morning. the firefighter and his wife used a cell phone to report the crashed and survived but had it back, back and head injuries. stock >>darya: in this paper

is bringing like to concerns with the construction of the bay bridge. records provided by caltrans show that a builder failed to report that a 19 ft. section of concrete and the foundation of the bay bridge tower had not hardened before testing happened. it also found that two of the 13 pilings built to hold -- hold up the main tower or not tested property. caltrans says they are confident in the structural integrity and plans to open by labor day of next year.

her cousin says they want to recognize her untimely passing in her life. >> she was amazing and loving. she was so sweet. she would give the world to people that she loved. she was always welcoming to new friends and always wanted to help other people. if five more people after her death will go out there and volunteer is doing random act of kindness, that will serve for life well. >> also at the memorial were members of the family of sierra lamar. both families had become close of the past few months as the search continued for sierra. >> we now know that in the the person who was killed with a big rig crashed a car on the san jose on ramp. the corner has identified the 49 year old victim. here was the scene of the accident on thursday morning.

they said the driver of the big rig was speeding and that is what he lost control. the truck overturned in the trailer ran that all the car if, crushing the passenger inside. the driver of the car into the big rig only suffered minor injuries. no word on any charges. >>mark: authorities are warning homeowners of being aware of a fraudulent contractor. an oakland man expected of contracting, according to the state license board, the 41 year old has allegedly been using its aesthetics contractor license number to obtain work in it is alleged he took down payments larger than the legal limit of 10%. >>darya: on this memorial day, we will keep you posted

>>james: this is the view from san francisco looking back over the bay bridge. jackie sissel is given of this wonderful shot. it is causing problems at sfo. we have delays of about 57 minutes. here's a look at the weather. today, the morning fog should burn off by the afternoon. things will warm up nicely over the next few days with highs in the '80s and possibly '90s by thursday. we will cool off as we head into the weekend. >>erica: better news for the sig alert, northbound highway 101 in central satyr fell, all lanes are currently blocked. originally the seat be hoped that the lanes reopen by 7:00. as of right now it could open by our next report at 6:45 a.m.. the bridges look good. no other hot spots to contend with.

worth a bridge closure. the major muni shut down in san francisco remains in effect for this entire week. >> a san jose teenager is dead and police are saying is a gang-related shooting. one of the mill shooting victims was a 16 year old. the other was not seriously injured. the police chief was just of the kron4 news yesterday talking about how he is trying to fight crime with a reduced budget. >> when we reduce the number of resources we have on the street, even though we're focused on gang violence prevention, you will here -- you will still have a

the bridge could potentially expand during an earthquake. we will be putting in the upper plate and new barriers, just finishing up the work, putting in a concrete overly. maenads has taken a good opportunity to take care of a lot of other things on the average. they have done some painting and paving and electrical, fencing and landscaping. in addition, our contractor has been doing a great job of keeping on schedule and really getting through this ambitious amount of work. >>darya: it will be ready to drive for you tomorrow starting at 5:00 a.m.. >>mark: we're watching the fall slowly lifting of the city. will be right back.
