let's take a look at what it will look like when it's done carryforwards for it is almost 2 mi. long and will go from chinatown to the caltrain station at third street. it will take five years for them to build the tunnel through the heart of san francisco. the entire thing is not supposed to open until 2019. today is the first steps in the face of the construction process. it's a, five years to dig the tunnel. right now it costs $1.6 billion.

hot spots in walnut creek. it is light traffic in both directions of 680. the only traffic right now is on highway 4. it is heavy was down coming out of antioch. light traffic through the south bay in the east bay as well as work in use of 101 through marin county. >>james: crews plan on taking up a one block stretch of road on fourth street between bryant in harrison. construction will begin this morning even though funding is still up in the year. the project backers say there are certain they will get the nine of its 42 million in federal funding that will cover the bulk of the cost. approval is not expected until the fall the they're getting under way anyway. critics argue that the project is too costly it will be underused.

a ramos offered his condolences but still insists he was not the person who pulled the trigger. as live look at the sentence that he has, he is looking at 182 years-life in prison to be served concurrently with his other terms. >>justine: the coast guard is now saying that reports of an explosion on board of a yacht that was cruising off of the coast of new jersey might be made up. we do have a video of the search. the crews were looking for signs of the yacht which was said to be carrying 21 passengers but rescuers, after looking for hours, never found a distressed vessel, never saw a fire or anyone in the water. officials suspended their search on monday night. and they are now saying that this was a hoax.
