not break the law. the last date for the city employees at city hall is next friday. fire and police are exempt from reductions. residents will not have to worry about layoffs. contract workers will be used to maintain city services. these officials say it will save the city a lot of money. >>catherine: he was just 14 when he died, police in san jose are still looking for the killer or killers of this young man. he was beaten to death in what police believe was a gang-related killings. friday, rob fladeboe reports his family joined community leaders in an effort to call attention to the escalating youth gang violence in san jose. >> i am here today speaking on behalf of my parents. >>rob: her brother was beaten to death here at roosevelt park on april 27th. happened just a few blocks

live at the sonoma county fair and the judging competition for the 2012 world's ugliest dog contest. there are about 30 contestants waiting to go on stage. there are two different divisions, purebreds and months. the winners of the two divisions will go against each other for the title ugliest dog. that dog will then compete in a ring of champions type of competition against these two. the 2002 champion and the 2010 champion. there is the one notable absence. last year's winner named iota actually passed away in march. she will not be here, but there will be a new winner tonight. in case you're wondering what the criteria is for judging the ugliest dog, judges say that they look for a first impression, they look for any sort if quirky or weird characteristics and then, they look for
