tried to attack the officers they say one officer shot during the struggle to protect himself. they said paul morales was shot he underwent surgery and is expected to be ok. >> james: in oakland the police department is struggling with the amount of officers patrolling the streets on any given day about 100 officers are supposed to be on patrol an answer about 655 calls. the work load is starting to take its toll on the force. about 90 officers are not fully deployable because of illness or injury at this time. they say that this is affecting public safety for the city. >> it should be concern for the city of oakland because what crime rises the only have a skeleton force of officers available. public safety is certainly in jeopardy. >> james: 10 police academies are scheduled for the next few months that to

help. those officers should be ready for patrol next year >> justine: . san francisco police undercover last night at the giants' game. >> justine: last year a fight left bryan stow one of the participants with brain damage. the this is the first time that the police have used this type of tactic and a giants game. as a looking, some fans did get physical. this is what fans were doing in the stands and it looks like in the parking lot. a fight broke out after an a's fan apparently poured beer on a female giants fan. the giants fan gets knocked to the ground and in several a's fans start kicking him.

storm debbie is slowly moving off the gulf coast at only three mph threatening up to 2 ft. of rain in the region. that means the possibility of even more flooding for north florida and the panhandle region in the coming days. parts of the interstate highways across northern florida already closed because the standing order. forecasters say this will continue to be a problem as the storm crosses the state and into the atlantic. here is one of the result of the rainfall that has been going down from debbie. this is the giant sinkhole near gainesville. it is roughly 60 ft. long and 20 ft. deep. the ground is giving way after several inches of rain fell on sunday. it is the highest ever recorded >> justine: justine that storm is just going so slow it is dumping rain down on florida. >> erica: those were some

>> darya: we are following a developing story out of san francisco, authorities are searching for a man that apparently fell into the water off of. 32. will tran is live with the details. >>anchor: the search is seven hours old. you can see a squad car at the end of the pier as well as another car. reportedly the man fell into the water at 10:30 p.m. last night. we do not know who placed the phone call into the police department first. the fire department responded, they left a couple hours ago. when they responded, they call out the coast guard to aid with this search. that appears to be a coast guard boat and the water. they have a helicopter that is circling looking for the man. we only know that he was when a blue shirt and jeans at the time. when we get more information i plan to run
