an update on bay area weather and traffic. >> james: good morning here is what we have in store for the forecast. it looks great today, we have 80's in and, 73 around the bay and 66 at the coast. we will give you a detailed breakdown of the forecast in a little bit. >> george: we have the potential for hot spots in the east bay that is clear out currently we're tracking no major problems. we have a like and easy ride for your west bound commute. around the bay area, look for like traffic conditions in the east bay and the south bay and for the peninsula and on north bay rides as well. >> darya: a violent and in san francisco residents reported hearing several gunshots. there was a shooting that killed a man when the police got there they found him in the streets.

>>anchor: ultimately the man the right behind me on the intersection right there. at this point, we do know that he is a 25 year-old man. the police know who he is the they're not releasing his identity until his family is notified. the police received a phone call and they came here after hearing the residents heard shots. i talk with the police department did not fire any shots they say the man was already injured and at least one gunshot wound. the call the paramedics and it came out with cannot save his life. at this point, they did not know if he lives in this neighborhood did not have a motive. they do not have any suspects at this time. hopefully will get more information from investigators. if i hear a thing i will pass along. >> mark: we are less than one hour away from the supreme court releasing their ruling on the

>> darya: miami police say the man that was accused of to an off another man's face was a not-bath salts they say he and marijuana in his system police ended up killing him after the 18th minute attack where he attacked and another man. the national institute of drug abuse say that bath salts are a big problem they contain synthetic stimulant that can cause chest pains hallucinations, extreme paranoia and illusions, but in this case they see it turned out that it was marijuana in his body. federal officials say no stowaway have been found it

yet. if they are investigating a ship in new jersey but they're still looking through the thousands of containers that have only inspected a couple hundred and there are 2000 containers. the coast guard inspection team heard knocking coming from the cargo ship. they began to investigate to see if there were any people in the containers as i said, so far they have found none. >> mark: now the boat that capsized near australia is back on shore. rescuers managed to save 130 people from the water. this is the second vessel to capsized in the area in the past week. the national weather service is offering another way to warn people about severe weather. smart phone users can start getting text messages about severe weather. when a warning is issued for a specific county users will get a message you do not have to sign up, you

are looking for slightly better conditions we have 61 in antioch, santa rosa as expected has dropped down into the upper 40's. we have 50 in napa and mid-50s around san jose. once the transition will see a lot more '60s and '70s. and then as the advance to 3:00 p.m. you will see a pretty typical pattern, temperatures will bring to the low 80s and that is what we are expecting this afternoon. here is a tour of the bay area to talk about the high temperatures this afternoon. we are calling for low 80s. >> james: for the east gate valleys will be in the mid to possibly upper 80s.

>> darya: according to the state department of education 76.3 percent of students graduated high school statewide in california and that is up 1.5% since 2010 and dropout rates went down 2% students learning english were the most improved population. a bill making it easier for school district to fire teachers due to misconduct has failed. it would have allowed the schools to dismiss teachers instead of leaving the decision to special disciplinary commission but only in the case of violence or sexual or drug offenses. but the bill failed after heavy opposition from the teachers' unions. they said the bill would harm teachers due process rights. >> mark: a quick break as the kron4 morning news continues. we have a live

entirely, which strike down the requirement that americans will have to carry health insurance declaring that part unconstitutional. today's decision is being closely watched especially by the president and his republican challenger mitt romney. >> president barak obama: i believe it was right to make sure that over 3 million young people can stay on their parents' health insurance plan. i believe it was right to provide more discounts for seniors for prescription drugs. >> my guess is that they're not sleeping very well at the white house tonight and that is the way it should be. this is a decision by the way about whether or not obama as health care plan is constitutional. >> darya: -- >> justine: we are just learning that president obama will speak soon after
