conduct their own concurrent investigation. it just takes some time. >>pam: as this crash and shooting was happening on the bay bridge, and other unrelated incident was also unfolding. shortly after 2:00 a.m. alameda county sheriff's deputies started its pursuit of a suspected drunk driver in san leandro. eventually that driver into the freeway into the sixth he took over the pursuit. the driver headed westbound across the bay bridge. the driver and of exiting at ninth street in san francisco but reentered the eastbound bay bridge and harrison streets. by this time, the eastbound direction was down to a single lane because of the other incident. the driver had nowhere to go and ended up colliding with another vehicle before giving up to police. the chp says the car he was driving was stolen. in other news, a woman suspected of abusing a 3 year old boy was in court today in oakland. the 25 year old mother, the child's baby sitter was arrested by oakland police
