america, we have a quick check of traffic, for the east bay the only close encounter right now is on highway 4. the south bay and the north bay freeways are still pretty light. >> mark: santa rosa police are on the scene of an overnight shooting at a restaurant. this happened in the 1700 block on several the avenue near 2:00 a.m.. a man was shot and taken to hospital. there were a lot of people around that witnessed the shooting. police are lining up people questioning them to see what they know. >> mark: is still unclear the shooting occurred in the restaurant parking lot outside, but no arrests have been made. there was a similar shooting six months ago in december. we will bring you an update as soon as we have more information. >> darya: we also have a crew at the scene of a house

fire in martinez. jackie, our solo reporter is out there to give you more news faster, what is the latest on this are we standing by and just watching this burn off? >> reporter: this the are, they're waiting for some crews to get out here. the flames that ec are coming from a natural gas line that are continuing to burn off. they say they will go ahead and allow this to burn off for now at least you can see this smoke and flames continuing on. according to the fire officials this broke out around 4:00 a.m.. the strange thing, this is the second time that this has burned since january. according to neighbors the house burned down shortly after new year and no one had been living in it since it initially burned down. according to fire officials

the house had been red tagged and set for demolition. as early as yesterday there was a stop order on the construction site and then burned down today. that is why there was no gas meter and that is why they cannot turn off the gas. the gas meter itself had been removed. they're waiting for the crews to get out your turned off. the good news is that no one was in the house during the fire. it was unoccupied when the crew got out here they were afraid that the fire would spread to a new house. in fact, it did cause some damage. you can see the roof line on the house next door. there was one person inside the that evacuated themself but it appears that it is just an exterior problem. fire investigators say they will send in some of their investigators to take a lick at this and see what started the fire. >> darya: i am sure a lot of

people have a question for pg&e. since the san bruno blast, when there is a big fight and the disaster, maybe you can not give in to shut the valve off right there, so they are concerned, does pg&e have a way to shut off gas remotely or from another area? >> reporter: right, and probably part of that is because they did not to shut off the entire natural gas for the city of martinez. so, they will have to dig up the street in the fire officials say there is no danger as long as the natural gas continues to burn off its should be fine. as i said, the gas meter itself at the house normally has been shut off valve it was removed yesterday so that is why there is no gas meter there. now they will have to go to the street

burning? >> reporter: it is still burning, it is hard to see in the day like a natural gas currently clean. you can see the flames burning here. i can tell you as i said earlier to recap, the house was set for demolition. they had taken out the gas meter. when the fire broke out earlier this morning part of the fire was the gas line that continued to burn and because the meter is gone, they will have to dig up the street and turn it off at the street. as far as the fire this at happened around 4:00 a.m. at the corner of walnut street and tacoma avenue in martinez. the strange thing is this is the same house that burned less than one year ago back in january according to neighbors. the same house burned to the ground and they were trying to rebuild what they could. and obviously you could see the fire broke out. yesterday it had been red tagged and

ordered to stop all work out here. when the crews got out here, their main concern with the fire spreading to nearby houses. they did same minor damage exterior damage to the home there was someone in front of the home but they were able to evacuate. the this is a half inch gas line that continues to burn. they say it is no danger to the public has long as the gas continues to burn off should be fine. as i said, the crews have just arrived out here. it may take and the time to get down into the street, but right now the public is fine. >> mark: we hope they're right to keep watching and check back at this gas line continues to burn. >> darya: 10 of the police are on the scene of an

overnight shooting that happened at a restaurant. it is located in the 1700 block. we have new video a man in his early 20s was shot and taken to hospital there were a lot of people around that witnessed the shooting. you can see them all lined up there in the video the police went to talk with them. it is so unclear if the shooting happened inside the restaurant or in the parking lot outside. there have been no less to me. but this very same restaurants are a deadly shooting just within a year. this is the story we will continue to follow. >> mark: oakland police still looking for a gun and that opened fire at a movie theater friday night. police

severely injured by rollerblades of a helicopter while taking part in a rescue of an injured hikers. the officer toni stanley was one of two officers called out to pick up a hiker that broke a leg and dislocated an ankle last the second will,--last thursday. >> my best friend came running in the fed the road and just hit this guy thing he is dead. >> darya: because of the privacy rules, the chp is not revealing the exact nature of the officers injuries or his condition. they initially described the injuries as critical and life-threatening. we do know that the officer remained

orange and red that indicates 80's and 90's. the south bay looks like we was the wide range of 80's with mountain view at 85 degrees, 87 at santa clara and los gatos could reach the low 90s. over in fairfield anticipate 90 degree weather there. the have triple digits and antioch. walnut creek has an afternoon high of 97. for the most part conditions will be in the upper '70's for the east bay shoreline. downtown san francisco has an afternoon high of 78 degrees. if you think it is hot and toasty in the bay area check this out, we have some watches and warnings to talk about.
