>>catherine: wall street did come bouncing back today giving the dow its best day this month. the dow jumped 204. . the nasdaq gained 42 ended the as the views of 22 points. analysts say the news of strong earnings from j.p. morgan helped somewhat but despite that news, the country's biggest bank is still taking a big hit. >> j.p. morgan chase reported a massive $5.8 billion loss tied to risky trades in the london office. that is almost triple what was originally thought. 1 ceo said it might get even bigger. the bank still has to unwind and that could take time and money. believe it or not the huge loss is not all bad news. j.p. morgan still managed to beat expectations with a $5 million profit in the second quarter.

help in any prosecution. fame muni shut down in san francisco is planned for monday. demonstrators are holding a news conference near the muni station where this young man died. he was shot and killed after officials say he ran away from police officers. they say the officers were checking passengers for proof of payment. investigators say harding ran and tried to fire a gun at police but ended up shooting himself in the neck. da lin is at that rally tonight. >>da: the press conference is about to get started. muni service will be shut down on monday, july 16th. san francisco police and muni know about the plant sends -- a plant shutdown and say they will make the necessary adjustments. the agencies did not give any specific details.
