have problems at all local art show may have pushed taggers to lash out at third lead businesses. a fire went through an apartment complex so fast, some residents had to jump out of windows. dramatic moments during and after a horrible crash all caught on camera. we will show you how it happen fan a look at how motorcyclist played locally.

>>pam: and the damage happened after an event designed to celebrate graffiti art got out of hand. >> this woman is almost a fully recovered with spray

paint and thanks. in all, berkeley police say they have had 15 reports of buildings set by graffiti in just a few blocks. it all happened saturday night and early sunday morning. one property manager estimates the damage is between $5,000. 10000 dollars. this happened after an event at the old flint factory. this has been a hot spot for graffiti artists for more than a decade. the building's owner decided to give some of the artists who have been using these walls one last hurrah. saturday night, the public was allowed in, but they got a bigger crowd than expected and many people were turned away. a handful of those people to their anger out on neighboring buildings. some people show up on monday to find their businesses tagged >> it looks horrible. the fis is the property and there is nothing artistic about it.

>> the owner of the building where the art show took place says he will take care of cleaning up this space. the culprits could face jail time and stiff fines. >>pam: and early morning fire forces dozens of people to run out of their apartments, but not before one man was badly burned. >> the fire department knows where it started but it does not know how. to fill out the flames will look at the damage that was left behind.

flames are shooting out the windows and threw the roofs. residents around here raced down the stairs knocking on people's doors wide to give them a visit with possible. they use a fire extinguisher to break the window and to people inside that out of the window and onto the deck and down to the ground, not before one person was badly injured. he received second-degree burns to his upper body. he is in a hospital but has not life-threatening injuries. all in all, there were three of its badly damaged to the point where people are not allowed to return. we're talking about 13 residents. they are being helped out by the red cross. the fighters are mobil said investigators added to find exactly what caused the fire. >>pam: the first human case of was not virus in the bay area has been reported in contra costa county tariff if the case was reported to the state

six robberies last wednesday at this stanford shopping center parking lot. that was on september 5th. all six have as its lead from 8:00 p.m. and 8:10 p.m.. >> most of the break-ins are occurring between 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.. >>catherine: a man wanted in connection with the shooting of a gilroy resident was arrested on monday. he was arrested by the department of homeland security.

he was brought to the regional hospital in gilroy is suffering from a gunshot wound and was later pronounced dead. the investigations led them to him as a suspect. he will be extradited to face charges. in san rafael, police released this security video of an armed robbery. they're hoping that the public will help identify the suspect. this was at a shell gas station, it happened around 8:30 p.m. on august 28th, shortly after the suspect with his semiautomatic gun at the cashier that was headed east on the road. he had an undisclosed amount of money. >> anyone with information is asked to contact police. >>catherine: a very strange story out of china. the man poised to become china's next president has vanished from public view.

he has not made a public appearance in 10 days. he has canceled meetings with at least three foreign dignitaries. there are all kinds of rumors including that he had a heart attack or with in a car accident. there is no official word on with china has accused japan of stealing some of its islands. officials are arguing that the supposed sale of some islands with the beagle is invalid. japan says it is a done deal. >> security cameras seem to be everywhere. if one caught the instant at which a man was driving at high speed and hit a utility pole. the man rest to get out and scramble away. he was not seriously hurt.

kron4 was there live. >>pam: a second meeting is now less than an hour away. kay thompson is outside of city hall tonight. >> it is expected to be a second round after an angry and hostile crowd is doubt that they would be back at tonight's city council meeting to give them a piece of their mind. let's look at video from last night. the out-of-control crowd with people yelling, chanting and jumping out of their seats, yelling at this panel. the panel was as a group of citizen volunteers who were considering , this was a monolithic power -- this will the non electives panel with no power on changing laws. they called the meeting and canceled it. that is when the crowd poured out of city hall. tensions are high due to a shooting last sunday.

police shot and killed a 23 year-old man. a parolee with weapons violations if that was sitting in a car around 4:00 a.m.. police say that they signed a light in the car. they saw the man reached for his waistband and what they thought was a gun. that is when they fired more than 30 shots into the car. the gun turned out to be a pellet gun which was a replica of a weapon. the family and friends of the victim were here last night. they say they believe the police are lying and used excessive force. >> he was executed. the officer that murdered this man man is free. >> evidence does not seem to support what they're saying. >> denied is a wait-and-see game. the meeting starts in about an hour.

that mistakes were made in notifying the public about some of the dangerous chemicals in the year during and after the chevron fire. tonight, the chemical safety board which is a federal agency, will update those in the community and city council members as to where they are at in their investigation, what they found and what they are still looking at. at 7:00 p.m., they will show surveillance video from the chevron fire. city council members say there is still a lot of work to be done when it comes to making sure this does not happen again >> there is no shortage of things that need to be fixed. if there is a lesson to be learned, we need to stay on top of this and have a progress check on a regular basis to see if people are really making it to you is that are necessary. >> the city council meeting starts at 7:30 p.m.. wilson the was that surveillance video looks like
