airlifted to children's hospital in oakland. police have not yet released a suspect description. >> police are searching for two suspects who they say brutually attacked an elderly woman during a home invasion in san jose. you're looking at a sketch of one of the suspects. they say it all started last friday night when a 75- year-old woman noticed two men outside trying to break into her daughter's car. the woman opened a home windo and tried to scare the men away. that's when she was attacked by one of the suspects. the victim's son-in-law says he's in disbelief over what happened. >> the car alarms started going off. and they ran and jumped through the window and jumped in the house and started beating her. >> the elderly woman was punched repeatedly in the face and kicked in the ribs. she suffered a factured nose, two black eyes,and other injuries. her son-in-law says that though she's sore.she's doing well.

coach harbaugh is expected to speak more about the game at his 11 am press conference. kron four will be there and you can watch it all live on our 24-7 news channel, comcast 193. for more than four decades. the 49ers have played at candlestick point in san francisco. but next season will be the team's last at the stick. kron 4's charles clifford has more on the city's plans to demolish the stadium after the team moves south to its new home in santa clara.

candlestick parks sits about 5 and a half miles south of downtown san francisco. the stadium was built in the late fifties as a home for the san francisco giants, the 49ers started using it in 1971. the giants moved out in 2000 and the next nfl season will be candlesticks last. for more than fifty years candlestick park has been home to sports, concerts, and more than a few memorable moments, among the highlights was the 1989 loma prieta earthquake, which shook the stadium on live television during the world series. there was also this pass from joe montana to dwight clark, which was immortalized as the catch that sent the 49ers to candlestick park is currently run by the san francisco recreation and parks department, but after the 49ers play there last game here next season, developer lennar urban will take over. lennar is the same company that is redeveloping the nearby hunters point shipyard. under an agreement with the city, lennar is required to demolish the stadium. something they have said will happen sooner rather than later, possibly within a few weeks of the transfer. after that, the plan is to replace the stadium with retail space and possibly a new, smaller arena. the san francisco recreation and park department has also said that there may be a ceremony to celebrate the history of the stadium as well as a public auction of memorabilia from the park. in the newsroom, charles clifford kron 4 news.

>> more that 108 million people watched the super bowl. a huge number, but not record setting. the nielsen company said sunday's game was the third most-viewed program in television history. both the 2010 and 2011 games hit the 111 million mark. football viewership in general declined this year. but with a thrilling finish, this year's game did become the fourth super bowl to record more than 100 million viewers. sports fans bet a record $98.9 million at nevada casinos on the super bowl. as expected. the casinos came out ahead. the gaming control board shows the sports books made more that $7 million on all the action. odds makers say california fans drove the unprecedented numbers, flooding las vegas and northern nevada with wagers on the hometown team.

stock market this morning. futures trading shows all three indexes in the positive this morning. that's after stocks turn in their worst performance of the year so far yesterday. after posting strong gains for the month of january. on wall street. the dow lost 129-points. to fall below 14-thousand. falling technology stocks cost the nasdaq 47-points. and the s-and-p-500 lost 17-points to fall below 15- hundred. we'll track the numbers as the opening bell rings at 6:30 this morning. >> let us check your forecast. >> good morning. low cloud coverage but it is not as bad as a yesterday. temperatures on the mild side. 40's and 50's. 47 in downtown san francisco. taking a look at the time being. widespread fog and a cloud coverage. this is a pattern that we typically

>> a federal judge has denied an oyster farm's request to overturn its eviction from point reyes national seashore. the judge also declined to allow the historic farm to continue operating while its legal case proceeds. the farm owner's lawsuit is a last-ditch effort to save the farm after an interior secretary decided to let its 40-year lease expired. the interior department says the land should be returned to wilderness status. the farm has until march 15th to remove all of its property from the park. >> california's highest court is scheduled to hear arguments today on whether local governments can ban retail pot dispensaries within their borders. about 200 cities and counties already have, but this will be the first time the state supreme court will consider the issue. medical marijuana advocates say the state's laws allow local governments to set limits on dispensaries, but not to outlaw them altogether. >> we have tracked down new information on the prime suspect. in the kidnapping

dan therrien.who you see in the dmv photo.which kron4 first brought to light last week.was better known as kelly to the people at this south san francisco custom furnishing business. his longtime partner.jack chow.which you see here.worked there for close to eight years.and therrien did some contract painting work for them occasionally. the owner of the business.who didn't want to go on camera was shocked to hear that the home the couple shared in the 80's had been searched last week by cadaver dogs and sfpd cold case investigators in connection to the kevin collins disappearance. she says that the man she knew was very nice and friendly.and that therrien and chow were very much in love.a happy couple who did everything together.having been partners more than 30 years. she said therrien worked from the sunset district home that he and chow moved to in 1997. that's where the man she described as artistic.would paint.and also fix up old cars.but in the last few years of his life he didn't work much at all.because his arthritis. his previous landlord said that chow.who is not believed to be a suspect in the collins case.was so distraught over his partner's death in 2008.that he picked up and moved away kron4 news.

government records show. a tour bus that crashed and killed seven people in southern california sunday night. had at least 22 safety violations - including trouble with its brakes. the bus careened out of control in the san bernardino mountains. near yucaipa. we have now learned, brake issues were noted in at least three inspections since 2011. that same tour bus wasght timesr maintenance problems in the last four months. the bus was carrying a group from tijuana, mexico. they five women, a man and a 13- in world news. pakistan plans to build an amusement park in the town found hiding. the 30-million dollar park, would be on the edge of aabbottabad. the northwestern town where u-s navy seals killed the al- qaida leader back in 2011. the private venture will have a zoo. water sports. and a mini-golf course.

difficult to obtain video from everywhere. but it looks like this crosswalk connects with the park. it doesn't look like it there is anything to have and the camera to adhere to. perhaps, they could hope for a home security camera for surveillance footage. police have not yet released a suspect description. police in pittsburg are investigating a hit and run accident. it happened on crestview contra costa county emergency crews are investigating what caused a delivery driver's truck to catch on fire. it happened yesterday afternoon at the phillips 66 refinery. authorities say the driver was injured when an unknown leaking chemical spilled in the back of his truck. haz mat crews were called to the scene. where they identified the spilled product and removed the hazards from the scene. the driver was taken to the hospital. he is expected to survive. >> though boeing's 787 dreamliners are grounded, the batteries causing the airliner's troubles can still fly.

dreamliners worldwide were hough grounded nearly three weeks ago after their lithium ion batteries caused problems on several planes. previously, federal rules said the batteries could *not be carried as cargo on passenger planes because of the fire risk. now the situation is reversed, with new rules exempting the aircraft batteries from the ban. pilots and safety advocates argue that the new rules doesn't make sense and pose risks. >> overseas airlines are now offering ""quiet zones"" it's the first seven rows on certain ""air-asia x"" flights where children under the age of 12 are not allowed. the airline is calling the "quiet zone" a quote ""heavenly package for those who want peace of mind". you'll pay between about 11 and 36 dollars for the privilege. the big question is why? there are a couple of reasons. one was because the economy is good set they will drive the price at high. the basic thing is that the spring and winter blend is coming so refineries were shut down. they will switch over to that summer blend. it is more expensive and we could see prices increasing starting in april.

officials are hoping a new *private bus stop at van ness and union street will help ease traffic during commute hours. the stop is for private shuttles offering service to companies like google, apple, and genentech. this will be the second bus stop of its kind in the city. there is already one near 8th and market streets. muni is hoping stops like these will keep private commuter shuttles from blocking muni busses during the commute. >> police have released the name of the teenage girl who was found dead in a fairfield park last week. but investigators are still trying to figure out who killed her and why. 13-year-old genelle conway's body was discovered friday morning at alan witt park. family members say the teenage girl was strangled, but police, who've been investigating the crime are not yet confirming that. what investagators are saying is the victim lived with a foster family in nearby suisun city. she boarded a school bus thursday morning and was seen in class, but never made it home thursday afternoon conway's step grandmother

kron four has learned that this walnut creek home was one of the houses on the vacationing subscriber list that thieves broke into - stealing a car and reportedly some personal property. and it was not the only house targeted. police believe the thieves were using the internal list of addresses for the past three months. it is unclear right now how many homes were hit. or how much was stolen. and it is unclear. how the list of subscribers asking for a temporary hold on their newspaper while they are out of town - fell into the hands of criminals.
