george. thanks, erica, we continue with a light ride around the area. so far, we haven't seen anything in the way of normal commute patterns. mark? thank you, george. we are following the latest out of the south bay, one person was killed after crashing a stolen car they were driving and their car crashed. here's more. >> reporter: well, mark, new information to pass along. they just removed the stolen suv from the scene a couple of minutes ago. the police officers will be here until at least 8:00 this morning continuing to collect evidence. here's a video we got of the stolen suv being moved from the ravine. this started last night. i am currently on blossom hill road. the police tried to pull over a car, that's when he noticed the

stolen suv heading right at him, importantly, he stepped out of the way. he hopped into his car. during the pursuit, they reached speeds as high as 90 miles per hour miles per hour. the driver of the suv lost control and flipped. he was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene. all we know at this point is he was a man in his 20s. his name not being released at this time. they are checking into everything, blood, alcohol, to see why he would do this. this could take some time. as far as blossom hill road, you are not allowed to make a right at least for a couple of hours. >> and where there other people in the car? >> no, he was the only one in the car at the time.

the first driver, he was relieved and he did not slam into the police officer. that's what i asked, but he did hit the driver or the car itself. >> thank you, we'll check back as you get more information. police are warning people to be on the look out for a man who is attacking women. let's look at the description of the attacker. a white man in his 30s with pail skin, 5'10", a muscular build. we don't know what he was wearing, but his dark black hair and green eyes and he has a tatoo on his upper bicep area. a community is remembering

continuing rite now that cough -- right now that caused a boat and a ferry to collide. there's the small ferry. this 22-foot motor boat and ferry collided. the investigators are trying to figure out who is at fault in the crash. according to transit, the motor boat was traveling at a high rate of speed. a napa woman faces charges this morning for driving under the influence of alcohol for the 6th time. the woman was driving a bmw on friday afternoon when she was pulled over. she has five prior dui convictions. this time, she was arrested not only for dui, but also for

violating probation and driving on a suspended license. this is a two alarm fire burning in a recycling complex. the fire crews arriving here found a large pile of metal on fire. right next to the fire are diesel tanks. an explosion has been already heard and the crews are working to keep the flames away from the highly explosive materials in the area. president obama says he wants to be prepared in case the small bipartisan group of lawmakers fail to pass the plan. the lawmakers say they are on it. and gas prices keep going up. in fact, the state average of

in world news, venezuela president chavez he has returned home now after medical treatments in cuba. a message on his twitter account says that he has arrived in venezuela. al qaeda in iraq is claiming responsibility for car bombings that have claimed the lives of 37 in baghdad. they are saying the attacks came in revenge of attacks. the car bombs which exploded in minutes injured more than 100 people. and the clean up continuing

welcome back to the kron 4 morning news. temperatures to dropping to well below freezing in tampa and orlando. you remember in 2010 and 2011 when the freezing temperatures damaged the orange trees severely. there's concern about that again. what a great weekend weather wise, hopefully that will continue on this president's day. here's more. good morning everyone, i hope everyone enjoyed the weekend. it was gorgeous. today, we will see the sunshine, but temperatures noticeably cooler. we are only going to max out in the mid to upper 50s.

currently, we are at 47 degrees in san francisco. 46 out the door in concord. looking at the temperatures out the door, looking into the mid 50s. we will see cloud cover in advance of the cold front bringing the rain to the bay area. 57 your high in oakland and concord. mid 50s for hayward and fremont. satellite and radar holds the key to the weather. this cold front is going to take about a day to get to us. when it gets here expect winds and wet weather. highlights for 6:00 a.m. tomorrow morning, you are heading out the door to work or school. we are expecting rain along the coastline. by 9:00 a.m. it will grow in intensity.

saturday and sunday. we have changes to talk about in the extended forecast. more on that coming up in my next report. george? no back up at the san mateo bridge, an easy ride. your quick commute check shows light conditions whenever you are driving this morning. mark? all right, we are following this story from overnight. one person killed while trying to get away from a police officer. >> reporter: new information to pass along, mark. you can see here unbosom hill road, it's been -- blossom hill road. both directions opened now. new information to pass along. we have learned that along with a 20-something-year-old driver who was ejected and died at the scene, there were two others in the car, 17 and 16, both girls.

they walked away from the crash. this started last night when a police officer tried to pull over another carment while engaged with that driver, the car comes by with the lights off. the police officer hops into his car and they go on a pursuit up to 90 miles per hour. the driver lost control of the suv and flipped into the ravine. his name not being released right now. they have no idea why he would do this. he is going to talk with the two people in the car, one of them a run away. the police officer was not injured nor the driver of the car that he was engaged with. back to you! thank you. a predator is on the loose

now attacking women in the mission and noah valley neighborhoods. let's look at the sketch that the people are wanting you to look at. this is the attacker the police think is responsible for at least two of the attacks on the women walking alone late at night. >> it's a neighborhood that is supposed to have gotten safer over the last 10 years, so seeing it happen here, which is basically on the edge of noah valley which has the reputation of being really safe, you think strollers and posh boutiques. you don't think attackers any time of the day or night. it makes me feel less safe. >> none of the women were sexual assaulted but there are still concerns.

protesters are standing up for christopher dorner. they don't believe in what he did, but they are saying that the concerns of racism in the l.a.p.d. are valid. dorner a accused of killing four people as revenge against the l.a.p.d. wall street is closed today, but clues will be found in the way the market is holding up. several key tips were released throughout the week including the housing market, housing stars and home sells. also, u.s. manufacturing will be a focus as everyone is watching to see if the dow will close above the 1400 mark this week. and federal workers could
