kron 4 is there with the latest on the investigation. but first -- only on four, just minutes ago, our crews talked to a family member about the childs condition. again -- sound you will only hear on kron4 >> we found out that the baby had been shot in the neck. >> reporter: the baby was shot in the neck? >> the baby was definitely shot in the neck and the bullet grazed and there was blood coming out. >> pam: we are following breaking news tonight. a baby shot in the neck. the gunman on the loose. right now, the baby in serious condition. you are looking at video from our helicopter partnership with abc7 news. on the right -- exclusive video obtained by kron 4 of the scene. just moments after the shooting. >> reporter: this shattered

the window just a few windows down. the baby was not the intended target of justin innocent bystander. this is video. -- just an innocent bystanders. a male person was driving his bicycle and someone on foot and started shooting them. police will not say how many times he was shooting or what type of, but there is a manhunt right now. the bullet hit eighth lexus the bullet-hit a car-alexis and that the one-year-old was either hit from debris from the bullet for they say that this is unbelievable. >> when something like this happens it is unbelievable that a one year old can be inside and be struck by gunfire. we would do

blood. also - an nra manual on pistol shooting. a book on living with asperger syndrome. and we now know that that the family safe - which was stuffed with guns -- was in lanza's bedroom. police say he shot his mother nancy in the head with a rifle. her body was found in a bedroom of the home. officers also found a holiday card written to adam from his mother. inside -- a check for the purchase of a new gun. since the shootings.vague portraits of the gunman and his mother have emerged.showing a young loner who spent hours in a darkened basement room playing violent video games. and a woman who had collected lots of weapons - including powerful handguns and a semi-automatic rifle that she and her son enjoyed shooting. still- there are no clear answers as to what motivated the massacre. lots of journals kept by lanza were also found. if they offer any new insights -- investigators aren't saying. also today -- there's been a nationwide push for

new tonight. the family of a san jose woman, who was stabbed to death, says their loved one was thinking of buying a gun to protect herself. this a picture of sandra cruize. the woman killed. police say she was stalked by her ex boyfriend -- a suspect in the case. now at five, as kron4's rob fladeboe reports. the the victim been liviing in fear for the last two years of her life. >> reporter: marisela salazar fought back tears as she recalled how her sister was being hounded by her former boyfriend, juan ramierez. >> she broke it off and he did not want it to be broken off. he would follow her. >> reporter: last friday, ramirez death outside her san jose apartment with what witnesses described as a butcher knife, making good on threats he'd made again and again.

, he came to her and said if you are not going to be mine, you ar not going to be anybody's. he said that he would kill her and killed himself. >> reporter: sandra cruzes had a restraining order against ramirez, she and her 10-year-old son had moved four times in the past year and she was taking self defense classes and trying to buy a gun. >> she felt so secure that she felt that she needed a gun to protect herself when she was getting out of work because he would be there. she would see him in the parking lot and he would blow up her phone >> reporter: arrested and jailed at one point, salazar says ramirez continued to stalk her sister and broke into her apartment at one point. >> he broke in through a window and i think that it was a bedroom door with a knife in his hand. she got into her house and they scared.. somehow he was able

>> catherine: two people are in custody they will be tried as adults. two teenagers in georgia, charged with shooting a baby in his stroller, will be tried as adults. a grand jury has now indicted them on felony murder charges. 17-year-old de marquise elkins and 15-year-old dominique lang. both now charged as adults in the shooting death of 13- month-old antonio santiago one week ago. each faces five felony counts, including felony murder and cruelty to children. elkins faces an additional charge of malice murder for allegedly firing the shot at the baby's face. >> "i found an outfit that my baby was wearing before he was killed and i can't seem to let it go." >> catherine: something else little antionio's mother can't let go. a question. why? >> "we believe that the location and the victim were both random." >> catherine: glynn county

police chief matt doering's department is investigating this as a botched robbery. elkins' attorney does not buy it. >> "it seems odd that two individuals, whoever they are, so desperate to rob someone who wouldn't have appeared to have any money and going to the trouble of shooting two people would then leave the objects of their attention at the crime scene." >> catherine: not left at the crime scene. the murder weapon. according to the indictment, elkins' sister, sabrina elkins, and their mother, karimah elkins, ditched the 22-caliber revolver in this marsh. miles away from the crime scene. tests will determine if a gun pulled from the marsh this week was the gun used to kill little antonio. >> "i had to watch my baby die and i want him to die. a life for a life" >> catherine: that's west's wish. shared with c-n-n's piers morgan. but under georgia law. not possible. elkins and lang are both under 18. if they're convicted of the new charges these boys could spend the rest of their lives in prison.
