>> is this time. take a look at some of the severe weather in the midwest. missouri and arkansas residents are grappling with the aftermath of a series of storms that spawned at least two tornadoes. one tornado touched down yesterday night in the st. louis suburb of hazelwood, ripping the roof of several homes. you can see video of the damage of the left. no series of injuries have been reported. missouri gov. jay nixon has declared a state of emergency in the state. nixon will toward damaged areas today. another tornado touched down in arkansas, damaging at least 33 on the living three people injured in bad year in county. you can see the clean up some of the damage. >> let us look at our bay area weather. >> there was a verheavy rain iso the gulf coast and the

yesterday yesterday. >> a man with a knife stopped traffic and squared off with sheriff's deputies. the elderly man was walking across all lines of the freeway and refuse to cooperate with police. deputy shot the suspect six times with a taser gun with the shots did not work because of the clothing. a seventh shot finally took the man down and he was subdued by deputies and taken into custody. the standoff forced a freeway shutdown in both directions. >> did you hear that? that was a flash ball. a hostage situation in georgia finally over. police say, the gunman who took for firefighters hostage for hours is dead. this all happened inside a home near atlanta yesterday. police say, the suspect was shot after is swat team stormed the house when they sell a small bomb. authorities say, firefighters suffered minor injuries from the smoke bomb and one swat team member was shot in the hand.

happened last night for 8:00 p.m. and 300 block of azalea rod. police said the 29 year-old victim was walking on the street with a dark colored vehicle so we approach them. an occupant in the vehicle shocked the victim, even the head. the victim is in stable condition this morning and is expected to survive. >> hundred students at antioch high school said to be tested for tuberculosis today. this comes after a student was diagnosed with the illness. a student at deer valley high school was confirmed that active tuberculosis on march 25th but is no longer effective. contra costa county health services officials are investigating this case and the students will undergo a precautionary testing. school officials notify parents and guardians of students may have been exposed. samples of active tuberculosis include fever, april won't cough, night sweats, and unexpected weight loss. >> we will find out about the forecast calling for in a few minutes. it was very

stolen car and led police on a high-speed chase. that car that crashed into a muni bus. kron fours mike pelton is live in san francisco. >> mike bring us up to speed. >> you can see officers processing this car. this car pertains to a carjacking a few days ago in modesto. at this point there are no suspect in custody. gatt early this morning. the chp tells me officers observed the car making an erratic movement near division street. officers ran license plates at came back at the car involved in a carjacking in modesto. officers followed the car. that is when they say it took off down van ness going speeds up to 70 mi. for hour. at some point officers stopped chasing the vehicle because of the high speed. as they made their where it down bad as they found the car here it crashed into a fire hydrant. it crashed so violently the fire hydrant blew off. officials have
