the car but some of the damage is still remaining. when the car crashed into the fire hydrant it went slide in the air to an apartment building were in damaged it. the chp stated that the car chase started after they noticed a car making a radical mess. they ran the license plate and the authority stated that it was involved in a carjacking a few days ago. the officers started to follow the car and had to three people and the inside. the car started spitting at about 70 mi. per hour and it made the officers stopped a pursuit and they found the car here in union and van ness. hit a muni bus and a fire hydrant. everyone inside the bus are okay but the suspect fled the scene. >> you are in a major city,

it was just too surprising. i have been here all my life. it was not too surprising. >> it was a wild morning. i was just hanging out on the bench. you have to be prepared. >> officers is set up a perimeter to search for the suspect but that did not find one. if they do not even have a good description because the officers were not able to get to close because it was involved in a carjacking. >> police in east palo alto are investigating a drive-by shooting where a man was shot in his head. it happened last night before 8:00 p.m. in the 300 block of azalia dry. police say that the 29 year-old victim was walking on the street when a dark colored vehicles slowly approached him. an occupant in the vehicle shot the victim, striking

him in the head. the victim is in stable condition this morning and is expected to survive. >> new this morning, hundreds of students at an antioch high school will be taking a different type of test today. a tuberculosis test. that is because many of them were exposed to a student o had teen-be. kron4 will tran is at the school with the details. >> the reason why they're not testing the entire school is because you have to be enclosed quarters for about eight hours before you can be affected by. this is why we are talking about a hundred students are so. this is set to happened at 9:00 a.m.. is just a simple blood test. they can find

missouri and arkansas residents are grappling with aftermath of a series of storms that spawned at least two tornadoes. one tornado touched down wednesday night in st. louis server of hazelwood, ripping the roof off of several homes. you can see video of the damage on the left. no serious injuries were reported. missouri gov. jay nixon has declared a state of emergency in the state. nixon will tour damage areas today. a another turn at a touchdown in arkansas, damaging at least 33 homes and leaving three people injured in van buren counting. if you can see them cleaning up some of the damage on the right. >> and we are seeing hazardous weather conditions. we are talking about heavy snow from the midwest and we are also seen

two minutes to your trip. there are no delays through marin county. >> we're also watching gas prices this morning as prices continue to fall. the national averages $3.56 for a regular gallon of gas, while the state average has fallen to $4 even. taking a look at bay area numbers. in san francisco, they're coming in at $4.10. in oakland, they're coming in at $3.97. in san jose, they're coming in at $3.98. >> san francisco police are looking for more than a dozen men who beat up a man at a strip club. the attack happened early yesterday morning on the 700 block of 0-ferro street. police said that the man was talking to a stripper when they got

into an argument. the man slapped her fall away from her, she screamed, and that prompted a group of about 15 men to show up. if they started punching him and his wallet was taken. the man was beaten had scratches on his face but he refused medical treatment. >> there were some very tense moments on highway 1 01 and santa barbara county yesterday afternoon. a man with a knife stopped traffic and squared off with sheriff deputies. barely man was walking across all lines of the freeway and he refused to cooperate with the police. deputy shot the suspect six times with a taser gun, but those shots and did not work because his us because of his the clothing. a seventh shot finally took the man down and he was subdued by deputies and taken into custody. the standoff for stiffer will shut down in both directions. >> joe paterno is family is

police on a high-speed chase. that car that crashed into a muni bus. it also crashed into a building at knocked over a fire hydrant. kron4 mike pelton is live in san francisco. >> the fire hydrant when a slide into an apartment building and there is a large hole in the wall. in fact, take a look get some video from this morning. the chp stated that day and noticed a car making erratic movements and they ran a license plate and they stated that was involved in a carjacking a several days ago. the officers stated that they started to follow the car and tried to pull the vehicle over instead the car raced about 70 mi. per hour. they stopped the pursuit and that ultimately found the car here. it crashed into this fire

hydrant and a muni bus. everyone on the bus is okay but the suspects fled the scene. they get set up a perimeter to search for the suspects but they did not find them. they stated that they have no descriptions because they did not get too close to the vehicle because of it be a part of a carjacking. they stated that these gentlemen may be armed and dangerous. they stated that you just never know what that may have on them. >> so the suspects are just walking around san francisco? >> witnesses told the police that some of them fled up union street and they have not found them. yes, they could still be in the area. >> hundreds of students at antioch high school are set to be tested for tuberculosis to that. this comes after a student was

diagnosed with the illness. a student at deer valley high school was confirmed to have active tuberculosis on march 25th, but is no longer infected. contra costa help services officials are investigating this case and the students will all go to have precautionary testing. school officials notified parents and guardians of the students who may have to be exposed. symptoms of active tuberculosis include fever, a prolonged off, night sweats, and unexpected weight loss. >> san jose mayor chuck reed will " not " be sitting down with major league baseball commissioner bud selig to discuss the oakland a's pursuit of a san jose ballpark. selig has rebuffed reit april 2nd request for a personal
