other men.identified as his brothers. >> catherine: investigators say there were up to five pregnancies over the years the women were held. but there were miscarriages - when the women were either beaten or malnourished. >> catherine: monday night - doctors said the women are all in fair condition. >> catherine: as fbi agents continue to go through the house where the women were held. neighbors are talking about odd things they remember. some heard yelling.and say windows were always covered. one person says she once saw a naked woman in the backyard. police reportedly did respond to calls about the house.but neighbors say the >> pam: officers never went inside. it appears that all three women may have been kept prisoner just a few miles away from where they were taken.

>> reporter: it is an improvement it went from worst to fare when it first came to the hospital said it was in critical condition and now that they are in fair condition. >> reporter: san jose rob fladeboe kron 4 news. >> pam: giving a different account of how it all happened. nelia arrellano says, she tried to get the limo driver to stop the car as the fire broke out. but he did *not want to listen. when the driver did finally stop -- she says he didn't do anything to help, after he got out of the car. the driver, orville brown has said once he stopped, he helped some of the women escape through the limo's partition. but a driver who was passing by the scene tells kron 4 news, when he went by the disabled vehicle, the only person he saw outside was the driver

russell jong also tells kron >> once i've read about that there were nine people in the vehicle, at the time that we passed the only person i saw also the card was the one person and it looked to be the driver. >> pam: 4 news that at the time he passed the vehicle there were no flames. he did say he noticed the back of the vehicle was significantly lower than the front of the vehicle. investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the deadly limo fire. >> pam: now, to the amazing story from cleveland.three girls missing over the last decade -- found safe after one of the victims is helped by a neighbor to break *out of the home where she was kept captive. >> pam: but questions surround this story as well. like how neighbors never found the victims, even though they had been in the

neighborhood for years. but here's what we do know. the three victims in this case -- amanda berry, michelle knight and gina dejesus -- were abducted within 18 months of each other -- and all within five blocks on the same street. ariel castro -- one of the suspects in custody -- reportedly padlocked his garage, basement and attic, so no one -- including his own family -- would be able to get to the victims. and we've all seen charles ramsey -- the man who helped get amanda berry out of the home. but another man also helped. a neighbor -- angel cordero -- also helped to break down the door. he has not been interviewed on camera. for more, here's kron-4's catherine heenan. >> catherine: monday night.the decade-long nightmare ended for three women imprisoned in this house in cleveland. the suspects -- three brothers. all of them in custody tonight. overjoyed at this rare happy ending to long- standing missing-person cases. but it's also becoming clear the ordeal the women

faced was terrible. >> they came out it was just astonishing >> reporter: >> catherine: a celebration outside the hospital in cleveland where the young women were initially taken after their release. friends and family - delighted and shocked. amanda berry was 16 when she disappeared on the eve of her birthday in 2003. she's now 27. also held captive.gina dejesus who was 14 when she vanished in 2004 on her way to school. she's now 23. the third woman - michelle knight - was 21 when kidnapped in 2002.she's now 32. this hospital photo is the first image of a beaming amanda berry. her sister is on the left. n the right - her 6-year- old daughter - born during her captivity. a neighbor heard amanda screaming monday - trying to get out the front door. he agreed to help.thinking at first that it was a >> he says help me get out

he said she says tell me get out of the year and a long time. call 911! i am a man the barry! >> catherine: domestic violence incident. when police arrived they found amanda berry holding onto her daughter. she told them there were 2 other women also missing for over a decade - still inside the house. the'd all been tied up. amanda had managed to break free. police have arrested 52-year-old ariel castro - a former bus driver. and.two other men.identified as his brothers. investigators say there were up to five pregnancies over the years the women were held. but there were miscarriages - when the women were either beaten or malnourished. monday night - doctors said the women are all in fair condition. >> pam: as fbi agents continue to go through the house where the women were held. neighbors are talking about odd things they remember. some heard yelling.and say windows were always covered.

one person says she once saw a naked woman in the backyard. police reportedly did respond to calls about the house.but neighbors say the officers never went inside. >> reporter: the news that one of the women had escaped -- reached authorities with two 9-1-1 calls. one of them was made by the terrified amanda berry. who was pleading for police to come before her captors returned home. the other 9-1-1 call came from the neighbor who had helped amanda break out of the house. >> tell me i am a man of barry! help me i am unman doug berry. >> i am looking at her right now she is calling hill.you.
