the brothers of laidlaw fowlr of leila fowler is behind bars this morning. all authorities in valley springs aren't releasing any new information surrounding the arrest of the 12 year- old boy in connection with last month's stabbing of the 80 or old-year old. a lawyer familiar with the case says the brother cannot be tried as an adult because he is under the age of 14. the court could impose a life sentence without the possibility of parole. but a

new law would allow him to go for an appeal after 15 years. more than 70 law enforcement officers are part of the hunt for a northern california man wanted in the killing of his wife and two young daughters. humboldt county officials say swat teams from three counties, federal officials and local police continue to search through the rugged terrain for shane franklin miller. the 45 year-old is suspected of slain his family last week in the rural community of shingle town. authorities say miller is considered armed and dangerous.

uc berkeley police have launched a homicide investigation after the body of a man was found on a ledge in the east bay hills sunday morning. investigators found the body just after 538 m. it was lying next to a car along grizzly park boulevard between centennial and south park road. they said the man died from a gunshot wound. the car was towed and the area was shut down to drivers and bicyclist for about 12 hours. police did the investigation is in its early stages.
