time that a more community has seen a deadly tornado. a five--f five from a touchdown and more in the early evening hours of may 3rd, 1999. this is file video from that day showing the damage left behind. it was part of a tornado outbreaks and lasted three days and reduced over 140 tornadoes. the tornado that touched down and more killed 36 people, damaged a 8000 homes, and close $4 billion- a-cost over a billion dollars worth of damage. >> president obama called oklahoma gov. mary fallin yesterday evening to offer federal support for the communities hit hard by the tornado. obama expressed his concern for those affected and offered available fare war resources. he urged the mayor to be in close contact at the rescue and cleanup effort continues. 18 from fema has been sent to

about national weather for just a moment. we're taking a look at central oklahoma. a lot of the shower activity pushing into arkansas. the area of low pressure centered over northern texas, central, and south eastern oklahoma. >> storm watch and warnings are in effect. the worst threat is probably hail. we could see the diameter of up to 2 in.. that is about a half size of a dollar bill. in addition, we have wind gusts that could top out at 70 mi. an hour. not too much rotation along the lines of the front. a tornado could develop the not too likely at this point. but the severe weather for central oklahoma is treading into 8:00 p.m. tonight. we will continue to monitor conditions here. a live look from our area this from our mount tam camera. the camera is shaking around. we are waking up to windy

nearly five months of testimony and jody harrisarias final words also render murder trial to an end. she is set to speak to the jury this morning. she will be the only witness testifying on her behalf. the big question will be whether she pleas for mercy or repeats what she told a tv reporter minutes after her conviction, she would rather be executed in serve life in prison. off the jury will then begin the race to decide whether she should be sentenced to life in prison or death for the 2008 killing of a boy friend travis alexander. >> students at community colleges across california can take more classes during the summer and winter sessions without having to wait until another semester or year. the state assembly passed a bill aimed at helping students complete their degrees faster. it will cost them more. these four classes will be charged that non resident race. the average cost, is $200 per unit compared to just $46
