>> devastating images of this morning out oklahoma where least 51 people have been killed. neighborhoods have been flat and as a mass of tornado ripped through the area. we have the latest developments for you this morning. >> the hardest hit town of more, oklahoma faces a long day as rescuers searched through what is left of hind in rubble looking for any survivors. today, the death toll is expected to climb. emily schmidt joins us now

from more, oklahoma. >> it is very hard brigade to know that we still have children and possibly they may still be alive, we just do not know. >> it was 2 mi. wide at one point. it stayed on the ground for 45 minutes. the person that shot this video stated that it was so powerful that he could feel his phone lifting out of his hand. >> we have lost everything. we do not have anything left. but we will make it. >> outside of this elementary school was tears of joy as parents united with their children. many children are among the dead. some 75 students and staff members were inside when the tornado hit. it looked like

a war zone. >> i have worked and lived here for about 10 years and i have never seen anything like this. >> the governor stated that face will help the people oklahoma get through this. >> i do not say this arrogantly, we are very strong faith based community. oklahoma has been shaken by this tornado. >> this building, 24 hours ago, was a bowling alley. it is just rubble at this time. there are reports up 101 people have been found alive and rescued from rubble. >> we are looking at the areoles that are coming in.

at the time the school was letting out the tornado was hitting. they are going with their hands trying to look for any missing students. we do have another look and the devastation stretch 20 mi. long. one man stated that he went back to his neighborhood to see if anyone needed help. >> it was just carnage. it had to be done. people needed to be helped. people were just running up and down the street. we started finding people and getting them out. we did see some unfortunate things but we did help a lot of people.

will starincluding ucsf will star there today strike this morning. about 13,000 union workers will take part in the strike. the issues at hand include staffing levels, contract out, and pension issues. the strike has forced ucsf to cancel a surgeries for more than 150 patients, including cancer patients who were supposed have chemotherapy and radiation treatments and five children who were supposed to have congenital heart surgery. >> today is the day that we will find out if santa clara, the new home of the 49ers, will be the host of super bowl 50. kron4 will

new this morning, a pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle last night while crossing a street in the south bay. chp officials say that it happened around 9:30 p.m.. this was at the intersection of white rolled and madeline drive. that is near james lick high school in east san jose. no further information has been made available by officials. >> orman winorman wielsch, the former head of the contra costa county drug task force unit has been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison. he admitted to committing a series of crimes between 2009 and 2011 that included stealing seized drugs and then selling them with the

the warmer spots will be in the mid to upper 70's. here is a look at a satellite and radar. we do have patchy fog for areas like half moon bay. we do have rain in the northwest. not of this will bother the bay area. although we do not have any precipitation to talk about the westerly winds will help regulate the temperatures. the biggest impact would be the cooler weather that will continue into to mark. it is 46 degrees right now in santa rosa. 57 degrees are currently in fairfield. i do want to follow these numbers into the afternoon. santa clara is coming in at 74 degrees. we will see upper 70's for an and pittsburgh. we're talking mid to upper 50s for the shoreline.
