this boyfriend and girlfriend was only 17 years old. the girlfriend, the passenger has a broken leg put the driver is fighting for his life. that is why this vehicle is still here. if he is not able to survive surgery, the county coroner will come out and investigate. they're not able to confirm about when the fire apartment were here to extricate them they said they smelled of alcohol. they believe that of all played a factor in this accident. and just from doing the measurements you can see the results that

rhine-hart drive and clogston court in east san officers arrived and located two male victims who were suffering from at least one gun shot wound each. immediately pronounced dead at the scene. the second victim was hospital.where he died a short time later. for a gunman. this is in east san jose around 6:of 30. to a chase that ended in a neighborhood near berryesa jose last night. police are investigating theit happened last night in avenue, shortly after ten. when officers arrived, they he was transported to the hospital where he later died. no suspects are in custody meanwhile police are officials say two people rhine-hart drive and two male victims who were gun shot wound each. immediately pronounced deadthe second victim was

short time later. police are still searching for a gunman. a crash in burlingame kills 1 woman and sends 10 other people to the hospital early a crash in burlingame kills a 36-year-old woman, sends people to the hospital early sunday morning. c-h-p officers say around two a-m the driver of a honda coupe,43-year-old raul padilla lost control, crashed into the center divider on highway 101, then came to a stop facing oncoming traffic. a party bus, carrying 18 head on with the car. officers say padilla's wife, the 36- year-old woman was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene two other cars were also involved in the crash but were not injured. wife had allegedly been drinking earlier that evening. c-h-p officers are currently waiting for the toxicology report to determine if padilla was over the legal limit. saturated the bay area with d-u-i checkpoints. police are looking for impaired drivers and those behind the wheel without a valid license. authorities say el camino real is a perfect location, because the roadway is used by many drivers. the belmont police department is using partners throughout the county to set up locations to get the message across. the baja holiday celebrations bring out all and we want to separate that with the driving impairment.

in bay area sports. it was sharks versus the l-a kings in game 6 of the second round of the playoffs. fans packed the shark tank in san jose. and were there to witness as the sharks

in a multi-vehicle crash at a track in northern nevada lyon county sheriff's deputies say 67-year-old leroy kay and 63-year-old david richardson were killed during a race on a dirt track at the reno-fernley raceway about 30 miles east of reno. macgill, says the crash happened during the main event for "dwarf cars," small cars with motorcycle engines that can reach speeds over 100 mph. macgill says one car went out of control and smashed into the wall on the final lap at the finish line, causing a chain-reaction accident involving at least two other cars. >> 10 fans were injured at the coca-cola 600, three of them taken to the hospital after a nylon rope supporting a the grandstands and landed on the track. all three fans were treated and released from the if hospital. the other seven people were treated with minor cuts and scrapes at the track and

yet. the call came in just before 3:00 a.m. there were no witnesses but basically this car ran into a 40 ft. tall tree. you can see the debris of the tree as they try to extricate the driver. he is suffering from internal bleeding. and also, if it sheered off his foot and he has lost a lot of blood. he has been in surgery for the last 2.5 hours. this is why the crime scene has been preserved. if he does not survive? other investigators, will have to investigate and take measurements. that is why they are preserving this area but that is still no word on weather or not he has survived. but he is

fighting for his life. as far as the passenger? she will expect to survive. officers did say that one of the relatives came body. and told officers that they went to the movie and were on their way home. but the firefighters said that when they approached the vehicle fleet smelled of alcohol. it was not determined that there was the odor of alcohol. and for some reason they were speeding pretty fast and lost control. and they ran into this tree. the chp is investigating whether or not alcohol was a factor in an accident that left a 36 year old san mateo woman dead and sent nearly a dozen others to the hospital. kron4's maureen kelly explains what we know so far

about what happened. >>reporter: here is video that shows the scene of fatal collision which shut down the southbound lanes of 101 in burlingame for more two hours sunday morning.the chp says at around 2am the driver of this smashed up red honda lost controlapparently th e center divide and spun around. three other vehicles.were soon tangled up in the mess.including this black party bus.which ended up colliding with the front end of the red honda. the female passenger of the red carwho was not wearing a seatbelt.was declared dead at the scene. her husband, the driver43 year old raul padilla of oakland. .had been belted in but was still badly hurt. he was transported with major injuries to stanford medical center. here you can see that some of the 18 people on board that party bus were able to walk awaybut 10 of those on boardincluding the driver went to area hospitals with either minor or moderate injuries. the people in the other two cars involved were not injuried. the chp says both people in

the red honda appeared to have consumed alcohol that evening.but blood tests are underway to determine if the driver was over the legal limit.if so he could be facing charges including felonyd-u-i and vehicular manslaughter. investigators are also trying to determine if any of the other driversincluding the man behind the wheel of the party bus. hit the honda because they going too fast to be able to percieve the hazard on the road. maureen kelly kron4 news. >> and this morning, we've learned that at least two of the 11 people hospitalized have been discharged. >> big decision on the future of the bay bridge. this week, caltrans is telling the metropolitan transportation commission whether to delay the opening of the new eastern span of the bridge or keep traffic flowing over the old span. right now there are concerns about the integrity of more than 23-hundred steel rods in the new span of the bridge. last week, caltrans' chief engineer told the chronicle

angelina jolie's aunt died on sunday of breast cancer. this comes less than two weeks after jolie had a double mastectomy to avoid

the disease. her aunt debbie martin died at age 61 at a hospital in san diego. debbie martin was the younger sister of jolie's who also died from ovarian cancer in 2007. martin had the same defective gene that jolie does, but didn't know it details of funeral arrangements have not yet been released.
