bridge and ended when the driver crashed his car into water at the berkeley aquatic park. will tran is at the scene with an update. you can see where they put the range rover out of the water onto the shore. here's video we got a run for thirty. the dive team came out here and went into the water. it was maybe about 10 yds into the lagoon. it was so dark that they were able to see anything. just to run the range rover. the attached the chains, pulled it up, open up the doors, and thankfully did not find a second person in the car. as far as the driver, it certainly was not easy making the arrest. but nonetheless, they arrested him in the water. that is what i'm told. they got him, they looked at him, he's in a jail cell this morning. we don't know whether or not the range rover was stolen but when it was pulled up, it had dealer plates. they're going to run the vehicle identification number to see whether not it

a complete set looking for a man who they say went on a crime rampage for more than an hour. investigators believe 26 year old jamar cleveland committed to shootings, three carjackings and at least two kidnappers between 1045 and noon yesterday morning. the crime spree started in the 1500 block of 39th ave. that's for police in cleveland shot one woman and carjacked another victim to get away from the scene. he then allegedly carjack to more people before ultimately shooting a second person. both victims are in a hospital and are expected to survive. police said the shooting victims appear to have been targeted but investigators have not released a motive. not to the latest on the trial of two men suspected in the 2009 gang rape of a six year-old girl off i richmond high school.

recovered much of an early loss of 153. the nasdaq dropped 20 points. and s&p fel500 fell nine points. it's the first time since 1996 that an auto maker has challenged a federal recall order. chrysler is refusing a national highway traffic safety administration request to recall almost 3 million suvs. the administration says the gas tank design in 1993 to 2004 jeep grand cherokees and in 2002 to 2007 jeep liberties is faulty and unsafe. but chrysler says it is a commonly accepted tank design and use in many other vehicles. it also says the fatal accidents involving the vehicles were almost all high-speed accidents in which a different design would not have made a difference. the federalist safety agency has not yet commented on chrysler's

police arrested the suspect who led police on a chase and eventually drove his car into the water and berkeley aquatic park. according to the chp, the pursuit started last nine rounds and 50 on northbound. 101 near mission street in san francisco. and the pursuit continued on to east on i 80 across the bay bridge to emeryville. the suspect then took the shell mound street exit and continued into berkeley. that the suspect eventually drove off the roadway into the water near-be ave. and into the water at berkeley and quite apart. the suspect escaped a vehicle and was seen swimming in a quiet park and eventually surrendered to chp shortly after leather p.m.. no was hurt in the incident. not a lot going on right now. the shooting at the

marina that left one person dead. according to the vallejo police station, they stay at or about 7:00 last night they received a call of disturbance here at the marina. one of officers finally made it out around 8:00 last night and that's when they discovered that there was a disturbance. in fact it was a physical altercation going on up on one of the boats. there are confronted by a man in his '40's at some point during the competition, the suspect pulled out a weapon and pointed at one of the police officers. at that point the police officer pulled his service revolver and fired it at the suspect. the suspect was taken to a local hospital where he was ultimately pronounced dead at that hospital. as far as the investigation goes, the district attorney's office along with a vallejo police are doing the investigation. the officer was not injured
