or if this was a fall. the accident happened around 6:40 tuesday morning on the east side of levi's stadium, in or near one of 20 elevators in the building. investigators could not immediately say what, if anything, went wrong but white's son jarvis tells kron 4 news. >>jarvis white/victim's son: a weight on the elevator that comes down with the elevator is going up. it's how the elevator works and there was some accident. white's distraught wife and family says he was employed by schindler elevators of san leandro, had been on the stadium job about two months and has been installing and repairing elevators since 1969. an eerie quiet settled over the stadium site as independent investigations were underway by osha, santa clara police and fire and general contractor turner- devcon.

>>catherine: you were looking at the area where this is happening. this is near colorado springs. the evacuation had been ordered. there are reports that some people were very slow to obey and get out of there. this is in the black forest area. we will give you a closer look at the homes burning. this is video from a helicopter joined a large property. this is at least one home engulfed in flames and other nearby home reportedly on fire. it is a very heavily wooded area. it is a black forest fire. just one of at least three significant wild fires in colorado tonight. you see all of the heavy white smoke and a string of holmes evacuations.

turkey. now to the weather -- it's been a wild week so far. rain, lightning, fog. now sunny today. you are looking live our camera atop mount tamalpais. i'm here in the kron4 weather center with our chief meteorologist jacqueline bennet. what we can expect next? >>jacqueline: high-level clouds that we are seeing right now. over oakland and san francisco and also over the peninsula and to fremont as well. and look at our current conditions. temperatures today with sunnier skies and warmer today just as we expected. we did hits a low 80s. adt writedown pleasanton and fairfield. eighties in the north bay. right now is calling out to upper seventies. 65 in san francisco with '70s down through the south bay. tonight, very little fog

along the coast line so it will stay clear for the most part. tomorrow a little bit warmer than today and in fact, we are going to continue that slight warming trend through the rest of the workweek. we will take a look interested forecast, coming up. >>pam:the supreme court ruling on same-sex marriages in california. could happen any day now. if proposition 8 is overturned, city clerks offices expect long lines of gay and lesbian couples ready to tie the knot. kron 4's justine waldman shows us what san francisco city hall is doing to get ready. >>justine: thousands of same sex weddings took place at san francisco city hall in 2004 and 2008 when gay and lesbian couples could legally tie the knot. and if happens again, 2013 >> karen hong, director: "san francisco is a destination. so a lot of couples are like we want to come to where it started." at the clerk's office, karen hong tells me. on the first day same-sex marriage

becomes legal. she expects as many as 200 couples to say "i do." that is 4 times the normal amout per day. anticipating an influx. the clerk's office remembers a lesson learned from 2008. the current office space becomes crammed. so this larger room just down the hall. will transform into the clerks office. the it crew is on standby to set-up extra desks, laptops and printers. about 50 volunteers are signed-up to do everything from perform ceremonies to help fill-out paperwork and greet guests. the office is ready for the rush of same-sex weddings.when and if it happens. >> we do this on a daily basis but it is just more so to accomdate all the people the clerk's office expects on the first day same sex marriage becomes legal in ca, it will offer extended hours. in sf justine waldman kron 4 news.

>>pam:the supreme court also set rule some other high- profile and controversial cases. including affirmative action, and voting rights. again, decisions on those issues -- and same-sex marriage expected by june24th, c session is scheduled. >>pam: breaking news to tell you about. a missing 11 year-old girl. she was last seen at a family party in sunnyvale on saturday. she is from east palo alto. she may have left voluntarily however, police consider her at risk because of her age. again, she is 11 years old. testimony resumed this morning in the trial of two of the men accused of the 2009 gang rape of a 16 year old girl outside a richmond high school homecoming dance. as kron 4's dan kerman tells us jurors heard from

police officers who were tasked with collecting evidence. >>dan: testimony today from crime scene investigators charged with identifying and collecting evidence at the crime scene. crime scene investigator joanna grivetti testified upon seeing the victim propped under a picnic table "i thought she was dead." she said the victim appeared lifeless and limp. jurors were also shown three photos that grivetti took of the victim as she was propped underneath the table. grivetti testified "it was not like anything i had come across in my patrol career." she later told defense attorneys she had an emotional reaction to the crime scene. grivetti said the crime scene was dark, and despite illumination with police officer flashlights and a patrol car spotlight there were areas that remained dark. during cross examination defense attorneys tried to suggest other officers may have tracked in unrelated items and contaminated the crime scene. the two defendants, marcelles peter and jose montano are charged with rape, rape with a foreign

object and forced oral copulation. two other men already serving prison time on similar charges. the law. per hour. kron 4 news. >>catherine: some protesters began using cocktails and began using shield against the water cannons. one man was caught in his own firebomb. this began only hours after turkish prime minister warned he had no more tolerance for nationwide demonstrations

which he says are heading the country's economy and image. >> these incidents have turned into a series of violence and we cannot consider them as a democratic demand. >>catherine: some reporter said the government is justified in pointing out there are two distinct groups here. one relatively peaceful and another made up of agitators some say have hijacked the protest. while this is the cornerstone of the violence and anchor, and has now spread to eight cities across turkey. and just when things seem to quiet down just a little bit, the protesters regrouped and the police move man again to attack them. this is from a couple of hours ago. they were still firing tear gas. at least four people have died including eight policemen and thousands of people have been treated for injuries or the effects of tear gas.

san francisco. the cases involving many writers exiting buses while they are still moving. 10 of the 15 instances happened on the 14 el, a bus with limited stops traveling from daly city to the financial district. the cases involved passengers jumping off the bus at speeds ranging from 3 mi. per hour to 25 m.p.h.. >> incredibly stupid and callous, but also endanger their own lives in the lives of others. >> officers have not released surveillance, but they said they are now releasing video to see if one person or multiple people are to blame. they say whoever is doing this is using a certain amount of pressure to open the back doors during the ride. >> this is not criminal activity-judge this is

edward snowden. he's the man who exposed top-secret government programs - and outed himself to a british newspaper on sunday. not surprisingly, today he was fired from his job. elizabeth corridan has the latest. >>elizabeth cooridan: u.s authorities are preparing formal charges against the man behind the nsa leaks, which sparked a nationwide debate about national security versus personal privacy. the white house wouldn't offer details tuesday, but emphasized the promise edward snowden broke. >>"it is important to note that when it comes to contractors, they swear an oath to protect classified secrets just as government workers do." a law enforcement source says the investigation will include searches of snowden's home and interviews of his family and friends. house speaker john boehner stressed the severity of the leak in an interview with "good morning america" tuesday. >>"he's a traitor. the president outlined last

department's office of the inspector general, outlining examples of alleged wrongdoing. they include: allegations an active u-s ambassador "routinely ditched" his security details to solicit sex from prostitutes and minor children the ambassador denied the allegations in a statement to c-n-n, calling them "baseless." c-n-n is not identifying the ambassador. another example alleges a security official in beirut engaged in sexual assaults on foreign nationals. according to the memo, the person assigned to investigate that case not given enough time to complete the job. all of the alleged misconduct took place during former secretary of state hillary clinton's tenure. the state department says the cases are under investigation. a spokesperson says the department holds "all employees to the highest standards" and takes "allegations of misconduct seriously and we investigate
